I tried to make a GA but it doesn't show up in the game list. I couldn't find any relevant information if it was given for free sometime in the past.

I doubt that it was free....but i noticed some changes, old links form other sites to the Steam store to Anno had errors some weeks ago, maybe they changed the ID...so i would suggest to write a support ticket.

It appears as Dawn of Discovery, the North American name of the game. Probably because Steamgifts takes the info from the US store.

Just send a ticket to support requesting to add the EU version? IDK

From what I know, it redeems as Anno 1404 elsewhere and Dawn of Discovery in NA, so it doesn't really need to be added, per se.

I was really tempted to find someone to buy me a copy of Anno 1404 when it was 75% off during the sale (since Dawn of Discovery was only 40% off) and that's when I came across that tidbit.
