Hello! I would like to join your group under option #1.
Since I have not won anything here, I would like to beat the game "Hero of the Kingdom II".
This game has a big variety of achievements. And I like to get 100% in my games when it is possible =)
I think the average time for full playthrough of that game for people is 9-12 hours. And I guess that this is enough and this game is suitable for the conditions, isn't it?
I have not played this game yet. I only opened it once to make sure that it works and I don’t have to return it until it is 14 days from the purchase.
Mostly I prefer kind and cozy small indie games. And I enter only those giveaways that I definitely want and will play. Since I don’t like to clutter up my account with unnecessary games just "for quantity" )

Hi m1ka, you are welcome to join by playing Hero of the Kingdom II. Just simply beating the game is enough to join the group, but if you want to 100% it for your own fun that is completely fine and up to you :)
Let me know once you finish the game :)

TIL this is a thing on the group tool. I shall go hide now for never noticing it till now.

Had to Goo...Duck Duck go it as well :D There really is a name for a fear of anything... Now I wonder, is there one for the fear of giving away the wrong game?

I can't play the game I won recently, Road Redemption
Stuck at loading screen.
Have been lurking in the community discussion for the past 3 days, tried directx 9 compatible, tried some launching options, none works.
What should I do then? I don't see any rules about game crashing here.

I'm reading about some issues in the past, work arounds are picking another driver in the campaign mode or tinkering with the graphics settings. I guess you've read all those; I've tried running the game myself, but it seems to run good; so can't help you out. Could you please report the issue you're having to the developer here? Let's see if they can help you out. If not perhaps you can manage to find another computer to play it on? Let me know. I've added a note that you're having issues for now.

Hi JoePedala, with which option would you like to join?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, you have to pick one of the options and let me know which one.
Edit: actually now that I am checking again, you don't fulfill the requirements to join, sorry.

Make sure you did not violate any SteamGifts rules in the last month;
I will let you figure out the rest yourself.

Hello! I would like to join the group with the second option.
I have the first Just Cause collecting dust in my inventory and maybe someone wants it :)

Can I add the Unlucky 7 group to the giveaway?

Hi Kokkol, you are welcome to join with option 2. One option is enough, you don't need to use the other one later. Join request accepted, welcome to the group!

Yes, that is more than fine, thank you for the giveaway :)

I'm interested in joining the group via option 1, by playing Almost There: The Platformer. I did play the first five levels just to make sure it worked, but that's all. If you think the game's too short or if I should dig a bit further into my backlog (I won it today), I'll find something else.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi Droj, you would be welcome to join by playing Almost There: The Platformer. but what worries me that it seems like it is not counting playtime (it shows at 1 minute, unless that is all it took you for those 5 levels), so if you can get that playtime working correctly it is fine, otherwise please pick a different game and let me know what it is.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok, if it does track time than it is all fine. Good luck! :)

Congratulations! Join request approved, welcome to the group! :)
And I feel you, I played Bad Rats to join this group :D

Hello, I'd like to join with option 1. I will play Satellite Reign. I've only played through the tutorial (about 20 minutes) just to get a feel of it, is that okay?

Hi SolubleCrow, you are welcome to join by playing Satellite Reign (note: you indeed have some time on record, I am assuming 4,7 hours of idling + 0,3 hour of playtime). Let us know once you beat the game.

Hi Scarecrow110, we are currently in the process of clearing out all our old join requests and I came across yours. I would like to know if you would still be interested to join the group?
If I won't get a reply in a week I will simply mark you as not interested to join on our list, but you would still be welcome to join once you have beaten the game :)

Hey, sorry for the delay, I've been quite busy with work and so completely forgot about this, but sure I will try to make some time for beating the game in 2 weeks and will finish the game, thank you for reminding me!

No worries, life happens :) Let me know whenever you beat it!

Do I have to be a member of a steam group to gift a game to it? I'm having a problem selecting "playing-appreciated" while creating a gift (for that matter, I'm having trouble selecting any group). The list remains stubbornly empty :(
I'm not a member of any steam group.
The game I would like to gift is this one: https://store.steampowered.com/app/217920/Alien_Rage__Unlimited/
This game constitutes a value of 50 cents. So if you like to protect your members and skip this one, that's fine by me. I'll then put it up as open to anyone. If you still want me to join and joining is required for gifting to the group, then please allow me to join under option 2.
[Reforced or any other group authority figure, if your reading this, stop reading now! In hindsight, the rest is just a rant. If the gift goes up exclusively to your group I'll probably put it in the description anyway.]
Nothing fancy, just a bundle left-over. If I can make someone happy with it who, maybe due to financial constrains, wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire steam games (which is just absurd, because free games are so plentiful).
My first gift attracted an audience of more than 1000 people and was won by someone who I suspect will never play the game. Which is fine because I would never play that game either, because it would constantly be pushed down the prio list by more alluring titles.
So for this game, which has somewhat of the same properties, I would like to gift it to someone who has a bit more appreciation for the life of a steam key (which I myself have too little of). I hope to attract as few people as possible, because that would mean that people did their due-diligence.

Hi CorvusSapiens! You're welcome to join by giving away a game you'd like to see getting played. Membership request approved! You can leave/rejoin anytime you want, if you only want to create a giveaway once in a while, or you can stay. Just make sure to play any wins you may win if you decide to join group giveaways. :) If you sync your SteamGifts account (here) the group should be available to select when creating a giveaway.

Alien Rage - Unlimited. Begins in 17 minutes. Runs for a week.
Have there ever been any gifts to SG:PA that didn't have any entries?
Comment has been collapsed.
To answer your question:
Yep, it does happen from time to time, mostly for either giveaway for games that have been given away a lot (or were given away for free at some point) or higher level giveaways. But with almost 900 members it is decently rare that at least one person wouldn't join.

Hey again MouseWithBeer, I've finished the game. A lot of redundant things in hidden object scenes like putting red lipstick on a female doll, putting all the dirty clothes in a basket or putting a sausage on a fork, putting flowers in a boot, sharpening a pencil, for a guy trying to reverse a curse he sure takes his time with nonsense :D
Comment has been collapsed.
Damn, sure seems like :D Why would you even put flowers in a boot...
Anyways, join request approved, welcome to the group!

To make a flowerbed for the poor flowers that will wither and break your heart... while you are supposed to be looking for a flask which is used to wake up a person from eternal sleep. You know, the usual.
Thanks!

Regarding this HW1 that I am currently playing, I received a message from a group member of PA that there was a question about the “type stamp” of “Achievement”.
At the end of the game, we have confirmed that the achievements we have solved so far have been processed together.
If it wasn't working properly, we told you that the language mod might be the cause.
Since I play only online, if the results display is strange, the cause is only the Japanese display mod.
If that is a problem, I think it is better to withdraw the PA group application.Because it is negative to play the game without using Japanese MOD.
I respect the PA group. However, it is the end of the fall that makes it impossible to enjoy important games.
If so, it would be better if I was not there.
Please consider whether there is a problem.

"technically" i would vouch for kappa. not a player, he's an hella good player.
but kinda "personally" and cause you're a mod and cause i'm curious: i've checked kappa screenshot up here. if you check also his achievements page (as you've already done) you'll see that same achievement, written in japanese english, but with same exact timestamp (japanese steam time, obv)...
so, mod, aren't kappa screenshots useless?
i know you don't appreciate that much <3 on the Internet, but still, have one:

I'm grateful for all the patient answers I received so far even though it must have been highly repetitive for you guys. I have two three more questions:
Does the group have any way of making money, which then gets converted into GAs (referral links etc. Patreon)?
Or is that not needed because you have enough GAs to keep you guys busy playing as it is?
I've looked at some of the members and their completion rate is just absurdly high. Which is to be expected, I suppose.
Does the group have any sort of wish list/poll of what you would like to see gifted?
I guess you could put all new AAA titles on there, but one such title would be as expensive as 6 -10 of the older titles at a 75% discount, which is my usual way of buying games.
Is there any other place I should ask these questions? The steam group seems pretty silent. Though I'm no expert on steam groups by any means. PA is the first one I joined.
Its strange but I feel some sort of affection for this group now. I'm sure it'll fade soon... ;)

Always happy to answer any question! ^^

Nope
Or is that not needed because you have enough GAs to keep you guys busy playing as it is?
We thankfully got plenty of very generous people. Over the past 2 and half years there have been 15,657 games given away in the group :)
I've looked at some of the members and their completion rate is just absurdly high. Which is to be expected, I suppose.
The competition rate will sadly never be 100%, but we try our best to keep it as high as possible by enforcing the rules.
Does the group have any sort of wish list/poll of what you would like to see gifted?
We have this page which basically looks at every members Steam wishlist and compiles a list of most wished games by the members and some info about current/lowest prices for each of them.
Is there any other place I should ask these questions?
Anywhere it is fine honestly. You can ask here, on the group page (I have notifications turned on that even if people don't post there often I will still be notified if someone does and able to hopefully answer pretty quickly) or in person by adding us on Steam. Whichever feels the easiest and most comfortable to you. And ofc if you have any more questions please feel free to ask :)

Note to Reforced: their your request on Steam was declined in the past because they didn't comment on the thread when they originally requested to join. You (or me or another admin) will have to send them a friend request to invite them.

Oh apologies for that :)
Well I finished the game, I enjoyed it so much that I finished it in one sitting haha, took about 4 hours.
Going in I was expecting something similar to a doom clone, but that was only a tiny part of it, it tackles serious topics such as depression through interesting and insightful dialogue. So, overall I was surprised and the game turned out to be really good! :P
I guess I will send you guys a friend request then? If im allowed to join^^
Comment has been collapsed.
No worries. I am glad you ended up liking the game! Yep, I just accepted your friend request and I will send you an invite in a second :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Not sure about that, but I would think you can only add one key per winner. Solution would be to send the other keys via mail or add the winner as friend on steam and give them this way. Or make seperate GA's for the DLC's if they are different keys and not just one.
Comment has been collapsed.
I just tested it out. The key box is limited to 35 characters (otherwise you could do something like key1-12345-12345-12345-key2-12345-12345-12345-key3-12345-12345-12345) so I think probably the best way to do this is to add the winner on Steam and give them the keys that way.

Please explain. You account says 2 years ago. As I see it (using my mad list skillzz):
Comment has been collapsed.
My account was made on Aug 18, 2016, 20:13:43 (in my time zone) and since we are currently Aug 18, 2019, 20:40:00 (in my time zone) so that would make it 3 years old. I think SG is just being stupid and not showing the years correctly yet. I am gonna assume it should be fixed in the next 24 hours or so.

That is a bit stupid (even the icon has 3 candles), but it will allow me to congratulate you again.

So my guess was that the cake had been delivered yesterday so anyone could prepare for today's celebrations, but now the cake is gone. Have i missed it? Lets consult the FAQ. The word cake is not mentioned, figures though, but still clueless.

I'd love to join this group but I don't have any game that I haven't play before on my WL. Though there are some that I haven't finished however thanks to MouseWithBeer and pagywosg.xyz I'm hunting them down one by one.
Still I can list the games I haven't play much (possible candidates for pagywosg) and you can choose if you want.
I'm listing them according to Do You Even Play, Bro?
Acceleration of SUGURI 2 - 3.2 hours - 4.17% (I wouldn't choose this because the achievements are too hard.)
Darksiders - 2.0 hours - 9.30%
Company of Heroes 2 - 4.7 hours - 1.77%
Skulls of the Shogun - 6.1 hours - 7.41%

Hi Mitsukuni, you can pick any unplayed game with achievements from your Steam library if you wish instead :)
Also woooo the event is doing its job \o/
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey Mouse. o/
Sounds fair enough, I'll be back when I finished an untouched game from my backlog then.
Well, normally I thought I was mostly done with the games I've won on SG, trywise at least. If I love the game, good, I continue and maybe finish it. If I don't love the game probably I won't touch it again. And there are the games I love but couldn't continue since I don't want to repeat huge levels and fail again and again (like one hour long). Some of the games are opposite, community love them and wanted to try, even the setup is lovely I just couldn't dive in, like Wasteland 2 (I'll try it 4th time this year, we'll see if I'll be able to finish it or not.)
However always wanted to finish them at least the ones that I love. In this case, after I met pagywosg, it made a catalyzer effect on me. So, thank you for that. :)
Almost done with the single player games, when I complete them I'll think about multiplayer ones one last time. Still this may take months though.
Comment has been collapsed.
You will need to let me know which game you are going to play to join the group before you start playing it . If you end up not liking the game you can however switch the game to a different one, it is not a problem.
For games won in PA we are not going to force you to beat the game if you are not enjoying it, but we do require you to give it a decent try. As for what we think is a decent try you can see in the FAQ. If you have any questions please feel free to ask :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Like Alvin04 suggested, Vertical Drop Heroes looks fine. If I end up not liking, there is Dust An Elysian Tail.
Now I checked the FAQ and I'm thinking I should go easy on myself. :)
After I join and if win something from PA, I don't think I will end up not liking it because for a pretty long time I don't enter games that not on my wishlist or at least I check them to see if I may like before entering if it's a group giveaway. Time saving. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Playing either Vertical Drop Heroes or Dust An Elysian Tail will do fine. Let me know when you finish one of them :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Hey Mitsukuni, I like your profile pic ^^. Is that from an old anime series? It looks really familiar. I looked at your library to see what games you haven't touched that might work. "Vertical Drop Heroes" looks good. The website https://howlongtobeat.com/ says it'll take about 5.5 hours to beat the main story. Why don't you try that one?
Comment has been collapsed.
Thank you. ^^ I'm using that pic for a long time because I used to look like that. It's from School Rumble. 15 year old anime (damn I'm getting old).
I was thinking about Dust An Elysian Tail but Vertical Drop Heroes looks decent too, I can go with that. At least shorter play time. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Ooh that's right School Rumble. I never finished that show. Maybe it's time for a break from playing games ^^. Anyways I'm just a member and not a mod, so you'll just have to to reply to Mouse with "I will play xxx for my Option 1"
Dust looks good too. So up to you.

Introduction
Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires committent and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month. In return members will get higher chances of winning games they want and creators will know their giveaways have a high chance of getting played. The group has more than 1000 members and over 25000 historical giveaways.
