99% of the giveaways are DOTA 2 or The Ship.
Everyone is going to be a contributor now. What's the point of creating contributor giveaways anymore when all the contributors are guys who just made dota 2 and the ship giveaways?

I gave away a game worth $20 so when all these ship giveaways that gave you $40 dollars in contributor value I felt kinda meh.

But then I just gave away two myself to balance it out, I'd rather not do it and only do honest giveaways, but that feels kinda unfair.

I can agree on that atleast dota 2, if not both, should be reduced to 0 contributor and like 1 point to enter.

Only for Dota 2 KEYS

When people make a Dota 2 giveaway they have to put along a key to go with it.

Then have 1 Dota 2 giveaway worth 30 points (the price of the game) at the top of the page and every time someone creates a DOta 2 giveaway it just gets added to the pot. After like a month the giveaway ends and people are chosen and there key is on the page of "view won".

This is only for public giveaways.

Add a check so the key is a real key:
Valve CD Keys in this format: ####-#####-####

Don't get me wrong, but when Dota 2 was close beta and a few of us had it, you wined to get it right? Now almost everyone can get Dota 2 and play it with the others and you are like. "Noooo why do everyone else get dota 2, I wanted it so I can play it and show it off my friends because they don't have it..." wtf is wrong with you people?

Who really cares. If you're worried about contributor value than start giving away more games that make your value higher. Than you can jack up contributor amount for your giveaways. Looking at your account shows that the only thing you have contributed is The Ship. The way I see it is you should just keep quiet about what people are giving away.

DOTA 2 should be worth 0 contribute.

The Ship is fine as it is, it's considered bundle game now so no problems.

Why should it... As an early access is worth 30 dollars?

Its just like financial inflation, if the low contributions are worth less, people will keep asking for higher contribution values

I also have 2 giftable copies of the ship (won it from the charity raffle after winning it here) I choose not to put them on here for the simple reason that there's hundreds of these giveaways already.

I don't have a lot of money and therefore not a high contributor value ($9,99) but I don't care enough to give away 2 copies of a game that people have come to hate just for a higher value.

I might gift them in the future once the big pile of them ran out. Or maybe never gift them on here at all, I'll see what happens to the copies.

Wow, you guys are the friendliest forum I've seen around.
For a website that's based on gifting and kind-hearted people filled with people who call me an idiot just because I made this topic are surprisingly a big part of the community now. Jesus fuck...
