I guess it's an operation from the developer to clean some libraries from his trash.

Same issue here. Also activated on 6 Jun, 2015
I most likely got it from the Indie Royale 26 bundle at the time.

A Steam Product code you activated has been removed from your account.

Same here. I guess that's the longest time it took for a key to get revoked, at least for me.

Dev
First of all I'm sorry for revoking your keys.To clear things up: I noticed that keys are still being activated from the IndieGameStand and Desura Sources. So I wanted to revoke any unused keys. But by mistake I also revoked the keys that were activated. Which you guys noticed. These keys were all Desura keys. Sadly I can't undo this. So my only option is to resend a key to you all.
So best and easiest way for me to fix it is if you guys forward me the email you received from steam or IndieRoyale then I'll replay them with a new key as soon as possible!
Sorry again! :(

Yeah, that's not okay. Those keys are meant to be used whenever you want because you paid for them. They were never meant to expire.

Not all of them, some may take dust in someone notepad or whatever people use and sure they might not get a share anymore if it's sold at a grey market, but they did when it was first sold and people paid money for it no matter what they do with it afterwards, they still paid and they can't just steal those back like that.

I agree with what youre saying, however, I also understand Dev's point. If you really care about the game, you buy the bundle and activate it, thats how it usually goes. He then had the option to only delete the ones that weren't activated after this long time, but messed up. I don't really support the grey market, so I don't mind his method. But you're also right, it surely sucks for those people that just... kept and didn't activate it, I guess?

I can understand him not wanting the end on the grey market, but sold is sold and unless he stated that they only had so much time to activate it, he should not be allowed to tough the sold keys so yes, I can understand the idea behind it all but in the end that doesn't make it a fair practice, not even talking about the fact that he actually screwed many people because that was a mistake.

My game was activated 25. Jun, 2018. I really had trouble finding out where i got the key from. I found out that i have received the key in a trade with Viwu's Game Service (https://steamcommunity.com/id/ViwuGameService)...

Valve is to blame for this too. They provide the tool to revoke keys in this manner, but allow absolutely no recourse for things going wrong, not for either customers or foolish publishers. They need to fix this on their end. Or I want my government to step in and force Valve to stop doing this; the way they sued over the no refund issue. You cannot revoke people's legal purchases arbitrarily.
This has happened twice to me now in the last month!

Developers can ban batches of keys at ANY time, doesn't matter if the keys were generated years ago or not. All they need is either the txt file with keys or they can go to the key generation page to re-download previously generated keys to deactivate them all.
Valve doesn't have to check, it happens instantly. I tried to bring up this issue on Reddit multiple times as this has in fact happened dozens of times in the past, but I generally get downvoted with people telling me "developers should be more responsible".. pshh can never trust developers who have the power to re-voke purchases for any reason.
Anyway developer is sending out new keys:

Got my key within minutes of forwarding the IndieRoyale email. Good to see the dev trying to make this right and I hope it works for everyone affected.
Valve needs to take responsibility for this on-going situation they created with their service and at the very least make it easy for devs to reverse mistakes. Better thing would be making it impossible for devs to revoke for no reason at all and without any checks.
