How long have you been on Steamgifts?
Why? The Origin client works extremely well. Would be a shame to miss out on this experience (if you are interested in it), just because it's not on Steam.

Can you show me where you see that? I can't find anything like that. All I see is that they reserve the right to gather and transmit data about your operating system, installed software etc. (much like the Steam ToS). i don't see where it states they can actually copy files from your PC.

Oh, I see. That was 2011, I believe. ^^ I actually remember reading something about EULA changes back then. And I really mean like a few months or a year after launch. I think you may not be quite up to date on this one. ;)
All I can say is that Origin works really well now. It had its problems, just like Steam in the beginning. But I can't even remember the last time I had any issues. Admitted, I don't use it nearly as often as Steam. But when I do, it just works. Maybe I could encourage you to have another look at the EULA (I just read both the Origin and Steam EULA; they seem equally evil to me) and maybe give it a go. A Way Out seems to be one of these games that would be worth the hassle. :)

True; A Way Out is definitely a game that is worth it from what I've seen.
When I find some time I might look for more info on the whole EULA thing and see what's what these days.
And yes, Steam's EULA is no fun either but they sure benefit from the network effect and the fact that it just works and isn't too invasive. It's sucks for competition but having all games be on one service sure is easy.

Bump!
I wanted to play A Way Out, but I didn't yet. My friend is planning to but it so we can have some fun time too. Still, I have the feeling that the split-screen could confuse me, I mean we can interact with the scene at the same time, what about the sound? They over come the dialogue of the other or they wait till one of them ends to start the other reaction? This one is much more duo play compared to the other games....

First let me tell you (in case you don't already know) that only one of you needs to buy the game. Don't buy two copies! You just buy one copy and invite your friend. And it's only 30 bucks, which seems very fair to me.
The game switches between splitscreen and fullscreen. Sometimes you both can control, sometimes only one of you (usually only for a very short time). Some times the screen space in splitscreen mode is evenly distributed, sometimes one player has a smaller screen, depending on the situation. It's brilliant, actually.
You hear sound from both players. And so far that never was a problem. I think you always hear your own sound louder than the other one. Yes, if you are in a scene where both players can walk freely and talk to other people, the sound can overlap. But it's never annoying, at least to me.

Will this game be getting a Steam release? If not, I won't be able to play it. :(

Bump and thanks! Haven't played the game myself but have seen a few streams and it looked pretty cool.

Did anyone play A Way Out yet? I recently started playing with a friend, and we both thought it is one hell of a co-op game! We played the first 2 hours so far, and it was a blast. Interesting story, good voice actors, nice graphics, okay-ish controls (getting into cover does not always work perfectly, though) and excellent game design (because it's 100% designed for co-op, not just an afterthought).
A bump would be nice if you enter anything. Thank you! :)
