EA history aside, the context sure sounds like the OP made a lot of (childish) legal threats in an attempt to get his coupon back. If you say your are threatening legal action, they are going to cut you off and let you try the court-route. Why? Because anything else might add fuel to the fire.

This is what happened to me recently.. I got a coupon code for 25% off in my email on june 12th for my birthday. I go to use it and it was invalid. I contact origin support about it and the dude tries giving me a 10% off coupon code.. told him that seemed very unfair and asked if it was at all possible to receive another 25% off code, and he says no, but he had contacted Origin Support Experts or some crap, and they had emailed me saying they'll give me 25% back from an order, and well, they did that eventually.

LIE OF THE DAY :
Origin is not spyware, and does not use or install spyware on users' machines. In order to allow Origin to install games and their patches for everyone to use, Origin implements a permission change that results in Windows, not Origin, reviewing the filenames of every file in a directory and can have the appearance of a scan. This is an ordinary Windows function, not an information-gathering process β Origin is not scanning the directory, no information is accessed, collected, stored or shared by Origin during this process. However, we are aware that this process has created some customer confusion, and are updating our software in future releases to eliminate unnecessary operations. Consumer privacy is very important to EA and we take every precaution to protect our usersβ data.

thread's title says "Origin" it wasn't random propaganda, I'd just forget about any promo code...

The title is "Help against EA and Origin" and the description is about the customer service. Show me one spot in this thread that mentions spyware. There's one, you find it? it's yours! It's like going into a thread that says "having trouble updating my graphics card drivers" and posting about how Intel graphics cards are better than AMD. Yes, it had the words "graphics card" in the title, but it was completely unrelated to the discussion going on. Also the fact that you copy/pasted this EXACT message into at least one other thread irritates me. It shows you don't even read the thread, and just inject your comment regardless of what's actually being discussed. You are not helping the thread. If you want to talk about EA and spyware, find a thread talking about that, or start one of your own.

I don't know why you insist on "fighting" against EA. If you wanna do something, don't buy anything from them. Their stock is already shit, that's why they're releasing so many fucking DLC for Battlefield. I'm only sorry for Maxis, Bioware, DICE, and so on, for having EA as a publisher or whatever.
If you want to play something from EA, pirate it. There I said it.

Another example of why NEVER use Paypal for online shopping (especially in large e-shops). Payments often get blocked, then you are considered to be a scammer and are being dealt with swiftly and ruthlessly (banning the Steam/Origin account is nothing unusual)

looked through the comments quickly but i hadnt noticed anyone suggesting you just call them, they gave me a lot of shit when i had first "bought" BF3, long story short, every chat ended with them telling me nothing and they would give me some useless 25% off coupon i would never use. I then called them, got a real person after not too long and my issue was resolved not 5 minutes later, although their customer service in a general sense is the worst i have ever encountered, speaking over the phone has always been the best solution in these matters.

So I had a promo code for origin that gave me a 10β¬ discount.
Meaning I was able to purchase Battlefield 3 for 15β¬.
However due to some troubles on paypals sides the payment was blocked and the order didn't go through.
Paypal instructed me to try again, but I can no longer use my promo code as the order that never got through used it.
EA support is refusing to give me a "refund" on the code that got used for nothing.
And when I told the support guy that I wish to talk to a supervisor or someone in sales management i got this:
Pradeep:
