So emotional. The whole "Just look at the flowers. Just keep looking at the flowers" comment almost broke me. She did the right thing though. There was really no way around that. She had to go.

The episode was crazy. I figured she was going to get bitten, I did NOT expect her to kill her little sister. Just soooo sad. I agree it's a whole different world and there really is no mental help available for people who are crazy. I just don't know if I could have shot an unarmed child.

(unless it was Carl...I'm sick of him. haha)

Well, taking into consideration Lizzie's mental state, what she had done and the universe that they are living in, I would have done exactly the same thing.

find everyone, kill them and then suicide. The series starts to get way to boring and senseless.
10min random viewing angles of stuff, 10min talk, 15min walk and 5min dead.

Seriously, all things considered, I would kill her too. She was way to broken to be fixed or continue live with others.

I'm just not sure if I would have the balls to do what she did at that very moment. I would want to try so hard to appeal to whatever humanity Lizzie had left in her, but she was just too much of a liability. I empathized so hard with Carol throughout this episode. If it were me, I would probably hesitate just long enough to the point where Lizzie would fully realize what's about to happen. The most I could muster up is "I'm sorry", take the shot, and continue to live with every detail of the event on my mind.

Force her to become a walker since she was so fascinated by them

Glad someone man this thread. If I was there as part of that group I would have killed Lizzie when she was playing with the walker. Doing shit like that she would end up dead any way. I was hopping that she would have died after all the stupid thing she did and that was before she killed her sister. Im glad Carol killed her, it needed to be done. It also reminded me of the ending of "Of Mice and Men'' where George shoots Lennie while telling him the story of their farm.

sooooooooooo, lizzie obviously had some problems and was confused about the situation surrounding them. What she did was truly horrific but she was a confused, traumatized little girl. Through discipline and education I'm sure she could've recovered and be awakened to the reality of things...but that would take parenting, "AINT NOONE GOT TIME FOR THAT" here in real life and in walking dead apparently lol

by the way, anyone remember "Bub" from Day of the Dead(1985)? perhaps lizzie could have been on to something?

I think they did the right thing. She was a threat, just as much (if not more so) than the walkers themselves. It wasn't just her sister, but she threatened JUDITH. Nobody touches the baby.

I don't know if I could do what Carol did, but I think she made the right choice. Lizzie was clearly not in the right state of mind, keeping her around would do more harm than good. Not only was she a threat to the group, they had to keep a close eye on her to prevent her from hurting herself

Leave her alone was the same as killing her, but it has not been considered as an alternative.

stunning episode no matter what side of the fence you stand on when considering the op's question. the world they live in is no place for people with 'special needs', i work in that sector and im conflicted over the outcome, could i have done it? probly not if im being honest, would i have let somebody else do it? who can say coz we have no concept of what we are capable of until put into stressful life threatening situations. im still stunned by the ep. this is the best, most challenging series i have ever watched on tv and long may it continue.

I was shocked when we saw Mika's corpse. I knew then and there Lizzie had to die, or let her turn since she wanted to do it in the episode anyway. No way you can trust her after that.

Also, if I was Mika, I would've told Carol about Lizzie almost feeding herself to the walker stuck in the tracks. She would probably still be alive.

I am so sad at how everybody got the story wrong. the girl is the only one to be right in the whole story, nobody can understand her. They should all have listened to her.

I would have let her get bit by the walker on the tracks so she could be one of them.

The same thing, just right after sweet-talking the knife away from her.

Don't know if I was Carol, but if I was Tyreese I would have shot her right when I noticed she killed her sister for the reason she did.
