If there's one thing I really like, it's learning fun random facts that I'll probably forget about in a few days.

I want some more cool people on my whitelist. So to get whitelisted, all you have to do is share a fun fact! Doesn't matter if it's a random fun fact about an animal or some weird science fact, or even if it's not so fun!

For example, recently, I found out you can't hum if you hold your nose closed.

I'm also having a whitelist-only giveaway here. (Level 0 and unfortunately regional restricted. Steam keys should have 0 restrictions on them >:()

ENDED!

Edit: Whew! I was trying to reply to all the comments but there's so many! I don't wanna endlessly bump my own thread with all my comments. Thanks for wanting to be a part of my whitelist, guys. Altho I (probably) won't respond to your comment, I'm still whitelisting, I promise!

The space between your eyebrows is called the "glabella," which is Latin for "smooth".

Ahh, Latin. The origin of so many words. I never knew that though. That's definitely going in my vocabulary.

I don't know much fun or cool facts. But hopefully you will like this one.
It's about a bug in Fallout New Vegas.
So there was a bug where sometimes every NCR soldiers in Camp McCarran and ED-E would fight each other. The NCR soldiers would kill ED-E and then do their normal behavior again.
The reason this happened was because of radiant AI. Because of radiant AI, NCR soldiers would eat, sleep and do other stuff. But eventually they would run out of food. Then NCR soldiers would look for animal or monsters with food in their inventory, hunt them and then eat. So if ED-E had food or drink in its inventory given by the player, the NCR soldiers would attack ED-E, pick up food from inventory and immediately start to eat it. This was later fixed.
I heard about this from a youtube video of Fallout new vegas director's twitch stream. I found it really cool and interesting how the radiant AI did stuff.

People give Bethesda a lot of crap, but you really got to hand it to them for creating an awesome AI like that. Buggy as hell, but fun as hell too!

Poor ED-E tho. He was my first and only companion in the Mojave for a long time. Glad it got fixed. If the NCR killed ED-E I probably would've retaliated..

True that. I am not a fan of Bethesda or even FO, but making a good game is tough, really tough. So I respect what they do.

Since you have Batman Arkham GA, I found fun fact about Arkham Asylum:
Batman, Joker and Harley Quinn were physically played by the same dude.
While Arkham Asylum managed to snag most of the iconic voice actors from Batman: The Animated Series, when it came to physical motion capture performances, most of the main characters were played by Art Lenavat, who was just some dude who happened to work on the animation team. So, before you go and get too excited about Harley’s sexy sashaying, just imagine most of her moves being performed by a video game developer in a carpal tunnel brace.

Hoo boy. When I go to replay Asylum now, I'll never look at Harley the same again.

That's amazing, and a little creepy.
Anyway, this reminded me of the motion capture for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. The motion capture for the MC was done by just someone who already happened to be on the team.

Somebody once paid by air. Not air in the middle of Mars, but normal air: An art collector once paid $10,000 for a "non-visible" sculpture created by actor James Franco (the guy is in everything nowadays, mad respect) . The artwork was billed as an "endless tank of oxygen." Um, yeah… it's called air. We're breathing some now… for free!

I don't know in other countries but in Colombia (my land) all the radio stations and local tv channels must play the national hymn at 6:00 and 18:00, they're forced by law.

Is it funny? idk, it's kinda weird tbh, but is a fact for sure haha.

I think the Americans used to do that too a few decades ago. At the start and end of the "broadcast day" they'd play the anthem. I don't think they do it anymore though. I'm surprised other countries did and some still do the same!

take your electronic car key fob and point it at your skull right behind where your eyes are, this will amplify the signal sent out. turn your head so the key fob is pointing at the car. you can now unlock and lock it from farther away.

I learned that you do it under your bottom jaw if you open your open mouth. Have done this many times over the past several years and while I may look like an idiot doing it, I've saved literally dozens of steps instead of walking closer to my car :-)

Joke aside, I love this trick!

1) Parrots are commonly lefties and most show a dominate foot for eating, playing and such. Right footed parrots are the odd man out.;
2) Carnivorous Animals will not eat another animal that has been hit with a lightning strike.;
3) Otters have pouches where they store their favourite pebble;
4) Hippo milk is pink.

Wood frogs in Alaska have been known to hold their urine for up to eight months, sticking it out through the region's long winters before relieving themselves once temperatures increase. The urine actually helps keep the animal alive while it hibernates, with special microbes in their gut that recycle the urea (urine's main waste) into nitrogen.
That would be a useful ability to have for sure..

The odours humans perceive as “metallic” are really by-products of the metals reacting with skin or impurities in the metal itself. The odour results from a metal induced oxidation of skin lipids so it is surprisingly like a type of human body odour. The compounds people smell are actually aldehydes and ketones, and not any iron containing compounds
You can sniff coins and they won't have a smell. But if you take them in your hands, then it will appear

Koala's are such an... interesting creature. A fun fact to go with yours. Koala's only eat eucalypti leaves. There is about 600 species of eucalyptus, but the koala's only eat from about 30 species. You could shove any other food infront of them and they'd pick the leaves that are infamous for being difficult to digest. Silly things.
