I seriously don't see why people keep saying this. I mean if you have a good enough PC it runs perfectly on Max Settings. The only problem I've faced with it is that for some reason my Multiplayer stopped letting me join certain people, but other than that it's perfectly fine if you have a good enough PC.

Rockstar rushed the console port to PC. This is why people such as myself running with an i5 2500k and a 7870 can max it out with no issues, but it still runs as if it was on a console, just with slightly better details and better view distance. Plenty of stuttering and framerate drops galore.

You guys are all spoiled rotten by today's ports...
sigh I hate typing in this title, but you made me do it
Carmageddon 64
Great, now I'll need a 6-pack to recover from the memories.

I played a Port once, it was probably the most terrible interaction I have ever had. The controls I had made no sense at all, and no matter what inputs I used, I could never get it quite to co-operate with me. After fighting with it for a good fifteen minutes I was ready to give up until this nice older gentleman came and said to me; "Can you stop humping the railing on the Pier? You are weirding everyone out."

I honestly thought Darksiders was a pretty bad port. The graphics where at the lowest of the low and it still lagged like crazy. It's also stupid how it had a lack of video configurations.
Edit: Gta 4 was a okay port. They certainly could've done better. Just add some of the video configuration mods and the game will be really good. To make it a really good port, you can put iCechanger, of course if you have a good PC.

Dark Souls 2 was the most disappointing port I've played, but certainly not the worst, it was ok... just not what I had hoped for

We all have to understand one thing. FromSoftware is japanese developer. PC market in Japan is almost nonexistent other than visual novels. They simply lacked the experience to do it properly, but I have hope they make better job when Dark Souls 2 is released.

Devil May Cry 3 because Capcom are idiots. Just a few examples- the Steam version doesn't support fullscreen, you can only map buttons to the main part of your keyboard(no Numpad or mouse) which can lead to keys blocking each other(you often press 4 or more keys at the same time during gameplay), tutorial is explained for a controller and so on... I had a cracked version before and the first and third of the problems I listed were actually fixed on it... so either Capcom are too lazy to fix their own game to the point where the people cracking it were too embarrassed to torrent it in that state or the Steam version is duped.
I guess Resident Evil 4 comes as a close second, again, because Capcom. But since I've only played it cracked the actual thing might even be worse! :P

If you go to launch options you can launch the game with full anti-aliasing and 1080x1920. The cutscenes looks blurry but the in game looks amazing!
As for keymapping on the keyboard, mouse or controller you just open the games edit file from in your steam folder. (Any game can be edited this way for your convenience.

Well, yeah, like you said we can do those for any game, but we don't need to because most games actually have these stuff in them by default. The less we have to do the better.
Seeing as how DMC 4 is a good port Capcom obviously know how to do it and it wouldn't hurt them too much if they went back to fix DMC 3...

Actually, it wasn't exactly Capcom. It was an outsourced port (I think DMC3, Onimusha 3 and maybe RE4 were done by the same company) and they just changed who they work with. I doubt if they would get the source for the PC version (does the company keep it, or gives it to the client?) and pay someone or use their own resources to fix it. How old is the port itself, leave alone the original console release? Like, 7 years or so?
DMC 4 is based on their MT Framework, which was built from ground-up do be multiplatform and work on many platforms, including PC...

Anything! and I mean ANYTHING!! Made on "Games For Windows Live" I mean the fact you "NEED" an xbox 360 just to edit your account is terrible counter-productive!.
EXAMPLE:
Microsoft FAIL
I can't even use my keys I bought on steam anymore due to this!

Simple question for all you forum-dwellers: what's the worst port of a game you've ever played?
For me, it's Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP on PC. I just recently downloaded an Android port, and it plays much, much smoother than it did on my laptop (then again, my laptop wasn't exactly made for gaming). The controls seemed sluggish on the computer (especially for fighting the Gold Trigon), and I don't recall hearing much of the games incredible score, even with headphones. If the Steam version didn't have Achievements, I probably wouldn't play it again anytime soon.
