Why do you guys create giveaways?

Sharing is caring, n'est-ce pas? I tried to give away the keys to friends first. No one needed the games, so I searched for a place to give away keys where keyhoovers can't get to them.:P

started with cv and didnt cared about ratio (was a leech back then xD but fixed now) but then it turned into something more... to make it simple i liked the feeling i was gettin when i won something and were all great games (sorry to those creators of ga's i won and still didnt play them big backlog but working on it) so i thought about making ppl happy too and since i dont care about + rep at all makes harder for me to trade and i'm lazy xD and thou i'm poor if i get keys from a bundle that i dont plan on playing i just give them here way faster than trying to trade and makes some one's day xD just recently i id 6 ga's and i now have more sent than won... i should make a celebratory ga.... but no keys atm xD so will do when i manage to get at least 1 more

More CV so I can level up and mooch more

When I get a bundle, I ask my friends if they want the stuff I don't, if they don't, I make giveaways... that's about it lol

Unused spare keys deserve a home.

Oh and you can level up by doing giveaways and participate in higher level giveaways which usually have triple A titles.

Hmm, mostly leftover keys and i hope that in case of winning someone can smile some seconds this day :)

I guess I just like giving. I don't buy bundles often so I pick games that I'm familiar with for giveaways. Either I've played them myself or watched others play and thought this would be nice to share with someone else.
I tend to buy games for myself once they are pretty cheap. Now I've found myself buying more recent games for giveaways than what I currently own.

Because CV. The more you give the more you win. :P

When I joined the site, it was 100% for CV. Lots of random shit, flash GAs.
Nowadays, it's about 50% excuse to interact, 40% making someone happy, 10% CV hoarding. And I'm actually choosing what to give by Steam ratings.

Sometimes i have duplicates of decent games and other times i buy my favorite games to give away. I also made a whitelist of people i deem 'worthy' and charitable, so i know it goes in good hands. So long story short, giving what i like to good people.

Channel promotion for the most part. It's not very effective to be honest but it has made a few fans and it gets rid of some of the innumerable spare keys I have sitting around.
