Hmm, L4D2 is a great co-op FPS; I've played it with my siblings and we had fun with it. :) For sandbox, I think Rust and ARK look interesting. :3 I have those two on my library, but I haven't gotten to trying them yet.

For your question, it's not a sandbox, but Killing floor 2 is great with friends (and with random people too)

The most obvious answer would be the already mentioned H1Z1, although it doesn't include the same depth of sandboxy type of gameplay...
There's also Miscreated, Project Zomboid (if so, create a local server and use Hamachi and avoid public servers like the plague), How To Survive, Nation Red, Dead Island/Rising and last but not least the one I would think fits best: The Forest. Most of them are on sale right now. Well, and there once was Contagion, which had the potential to be one of the great Zombie FPS but failed due to the devs' inability to fulfill the expectations of their player base... it's still a fun game, especially for the current sale price, feels unfinished on certain ends though.

Hey everyone, after my first train I've decided to make a new one, enter here. As always, tell me if anythings out of place or broken and I'll try get right on it.
I've also created a whitelist giveaway for PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. If you want in, make sure you have no unactivated wins, no duplicate wins, no VAC ban and a ratio above 1:1.
