I've bought Castle Crashers (waited for 75% off) and Cubemen 2 at release because they gave away all the skins for free, otherwise I rarely consider buying indie games from retail places.
I've never been the person to buy any game as soon as it releases regardless of whether it's indie or AAA though. I've been content waiting a month for discounts to begin all these years.

indie? usually cheap enough to get whenever(also i tend to forget to buy it if I wait) AAA though? all that dlc can end up costing more than the game and the game is around $70 anyway....I just wait for goty or sales.
I've got more than enough games to not miss something new for awhile and I'm just against preorders in general.

I'm going to put this upfront that I admit I'm a cheapskate (money has been a problem to me this last few months, I can't go on a spontaneous shopping spree on steam anymore like I used to). Seeing that all the good indie titles would be bundled and purchasable for less than $5 after 1-2 years of their release really discouraged me. I was thinking about buying paper, please when it's on sale but I probably wait 'till 1 year from now and it's included in a bundle. Additionally, I had both Mask of the Ninja and Fez before this humble bundle and also both serious sam 2 and 3 before the serious bundle (I bought both of them on a 50% sale) so I feel like I could have saved lots of money...but then most of the money go to the developers which they deserve it.
Honestly I do not know it's a good or bad thing. I still put most the money towards the developers while buying the bundles (do not know abt other sites like bundlestars or groupee, I don't think they have that kind of option). What's your opinion on this? Are you buying less indie games than before humble bundle and other related sites?
