Before SG I just dropped my spare keys to my discord but a lot of randos that wouldn't even talk to me or the others would ninja everything. In SG I can slooooooooowly raise my level, and people are way more grateful.
I expect nothing in return. Maybe someday I'll be lvl6, maybe a few years from now, and that would be nice. But I'm in no hurry.

This website has brought me happiness when a winner loves a game! A good home for my extras. A space where I can convince myself to purchase a slightly high-priced bundle with one game I really want because "I can give the others away."
A LOT of great times here in the community solving puzzles, chatting, and the like. I've met a few "random internet strangers" whom I've found here and who have become Very Close Friends. I chat with them--or at least check in on them to make sure they are still around--every few days. Of the two or three (or four) internet communities that have consumed 90% of my social media time over the last six years, three are direct off-shoots of--and related to--this website, and the fourth is kinda related to the first three.
Also, a lot of great games and, after my backlog got so big as to have been a wee bit daunting, the impetus and nudge I needed to tackle it.

Considering I only enter giveaways for games that are on my wishlist and I actually plan to play, anything I win is something good. I never saw the appeal of entering giveaways for random stuff that I will probably never touch just for a +1.
