I have no problem with that. I never understood why people buy games they don't want. If they want to spend their money on garbage, that's their problem. I can understand collecting good games that were removed if you want to play them.

This would only apply to 1-2 titles. They have flooded the market with free keys of most of their games, making them mostly worthless. You would be hard pressed to find a current collector who doesn't own the majority of DH library, and new ones would be able to find copies of the game quite easily.
This might change if the keys were invalidated as well (kinda like what happened to shan gui due to how steam handles the game) but even then, I'm sure there are plenty of gift copies of thsee games due to their low sale prices.

But Digital Homicide wouldn't see any of that money. So I'm okay with that.

"Their lawsuit against Jim Sterling was set out of court "
Really ? Last news I could find on that when I last checked, is that they were trying to block Sterling/Stanton's motion to dismiss, with shaky argumentation presented in the wrong form.
Comment has been collapsed.
I hope that isn't the case. I mean, I hope Jim wins whatever is going on (and why wouldn't he? They don't have a leg to stand on,) but I'd like to see Digi Hom humiliated even more in the process.

as of July, Romine was trying really really hard, asking the judge to please please pretty please not throw out his frivolous and meritless lawsuit. It's too soon for me to access more case details without paying a fee (and fuck that), but I was able to see his three divorces

Digital Homicide has never been able to handle negative feedback and criticism. After 12 games and 10 DLCs you would think that they'd get the hint that their games are really bad by the amounts of thumbs down they get on each and every single one of them, but apparently, instead of accepting it they now take it to the next step and want to sue people for actually pointing out that their games are bad? Wow, just wow, I'm at a loss for words. They can't honestly believe that they'll actually win any of those lawsuits they're planning.

They see the thumbs down as being caused by users like Sterling. Honestly, I had never heard of the guy before they started this proverbial shitstorm... and had thumbed down three games of theirs.
They think their games are quality because they use high-rated assets from stores, but they implement them so poorly that it falls apart.

I mean, I've watched a couple of Sterling's videos before but don't really follow him for reviews or anything alike but every game creator who makes their game available and charges actual real money for it will have to expect criticism and reviews and of course they may vary from person to person but instead of acting like this and trying to sue people they should maybe realize that their games really aren't good at all. If one could at least feel like they're taking the criticism seriously and are trying to improve their games but from what I've seen so far they're far from trying to make better games.
And yeah, unfortunately, there's quite a number of people publishing games on Steam now who charge money for poorly implemented assets. Sometimes it really makes me wonder who actually greenlights those games.

A true Digital Homicide.
Oh well, at least you can get most of their games for free.

Can Hardly wait?
Also hopping valve takes a step back from its greenlight bullshit to avoid fake devs from exploiting it.
Seriously, it's one neverending shitstorm, and one developer after the other

Here's a metaphor that I call "DH makes a cake":
They start with a cakepan beause mixing bowls are for noobs. They toss in whole eggs. They add wheat because that's what flour is made of. They smash the sum total with a hammer until the gruesomeness becomes a thick, chunky paste because you have to get flour. They add frosting and sprinkles and sugar, but don't mix it. Top it with a stick of butter. They toss it in the oven. Broil the hell outta it for 15 minutes and pull it out, calling it a chocolate cake.
Only, they forgot the chocolate... and what comes out isn't a cake, but rather sharp, eggy mess on burned wheat
But the ingredients are there, so it must be a cake. Someone tells them it's not a cake or, if it is, it's a terrible cake. He's clearly a monster and has corrupted thousands of people into thinking the same.
The end.

Hopefully dh will be moved to the removed games list. Steam removed into the light and offered refunds for no mans sky regardless of play time, hopefully they'll kill this abomination given this golden opportunity.

RIP. Digital Homicide.

57 years from now, there might be people around who'd pay a premium for a key from one of these. That saddens me. ;-;

I only see one left now. Maybe Steam missed it because the developer is listed as "R. Romine". In any case, YEEEHAH!!
Addendum: That one's gone now too.

"Digital Homicide are going after Steam users as well as Jim Sterling.
Well that escalated quickly.
If you cast your mind back, you may remember Jim Sterling’s back and forth with Digital Homicide after he did a first impressions video on their title Slaughtering Grounds.
Since then, the Romine brothers – who constitute the developer team at Digital Homicide – have launched a lawsuit against Sterling (legal name James Stanton), stating that he has “falsely accused [Digital Homicide] and caused damage” to the tune of $10 million dollars.
The brothers were using crowdfunding for legal fees initially, but that avenue had to be abandoned when “harassers” began “donating amounts specifically to cause charges rather than donations and charge backs to cause financial fees,” according to Kotaku. They have since decided to represent themselves.
This week, Digital Homicide has taken things up a notch.
According to these court documents provided by Sid Alpha who talks more about this in the video above, the brothers are also suing 100 Steam users and have subpoenaed Valve in order to get these people’s personal information.
James Romine is now after $18 million dollars in this personal injury suit.
Over on the NeGAF thread, there’s a lot of head scratching going on as everyone tries to figure out what it is Digital Homicide hope to accomplish.
Have you got any thoughts on this bizarre case? As always, chime in below."

Well now that's the joke of the day.
