Nice art, what program do you use and do you have a drawing tablet thingy?

I mostly do traditional art using pens and inks or acrylic paints on canvas. The digital art was done with free art software called GIMP and I do use a graphics tablet. I have a Wacom Cintiq which is fairly high-end and also a much cheaper Huion tablet that I bought to stuff in my laptop bag. In terms of hardware the Huion was great for the price but I have a lot of trouble with the half-assed Chinese drivers.

Wow, those Wacom Cintiq's are expensive... Hopefully I can get myself a drawing tablet too sometime soon, the possibilities of working on the computer are endless, drawing with mouse makes it less fun though. Well keep up the good work, it's pleasant to look at!

I got a reconditioned ex-display model direct from Wacom that would have been a lot cheaper than the Cintiq prices you have been looking at - but it was still a lot. I got the Huion H610 I have off eBay for £40 and it would be fine for a beginner or even intermediate artist.
I see a lot of people moaning on art websites that I use that they just got a tablet and all their lines are wobbly and they can't do anything. That is normal. If you do get one keep in mind that you will need to put a few hours practice in before giving up on it!
