I myself just bid on a game about 10 seconds until end, reason: don´t want to push others to rebid and on the other side don´t want to bid more than necessary...result: it´s mine (works only on cheaper non AAA games, cause for those all go mad)

You don't get the extra gems back that you used to increase bid. The final value of your bid is deducted when you win.

You get the difference back into your inventory. I guess someone made a last second bid so all your 1500 gems had to be used to beat it.

The auction is pretty much set up in a way that the best way to win is a last-minute bid. It's what I did for Two Worlds Collection.

Hi,
I saw that a game on my wishlist has low bids so I bid that game 1500 gems. Before I bid, It has highest bid as 1350. When I bid, it became 1400. I thought when someone bids 1450, my bid will increase automatically until 1500 but if I win the game, I will get extra gems back. But it didn't happen that way.
Until the last second, I checked the bids, mine was highest with 1400, after auction I expected to get 100 gems back but I lost all 1500 gems. Is that a bug or smt?
