IIRC It used to give discounts for some services aside from Reddit (as a form of partnership with some companies), but it doesn't do that anymore so... I don't think it's too useful at the moment.

The only thing I could want from these is the removal of ads, but... I might leave them on just because I want to support the website :P

Also you should download the apk, I guess the problem is the region lock, it said that my phone wasn't compatible too, but the apk worked

There was a nice, very useful and great designed Reddit App (Formerly Alien or iAlien or something) and became official long ago. What happened to it?

Alien Blue? It wasn't available on Android. It seems that they are "rebuilding" it to be better optimized and "modern" (after they bought it). And the new app is a dedicated official Android application. (here's the thread if you want to read the full announcement: https://www.reddit.com/r/announcements/comments/4dqxgt/reddit_mobile_apps/ )

Yes it was. I think they restructured it based on Alien Blue. But since it was a user's application, the developer was looking at users' side and see what is good and bad. And I think they removed a lot of useful features as well.

Well, doesn't matter for me anymore since I don't use iOS anymore. Even If I consider using it in the future, I still will be able to download it in the purchased section.

Tried it out briefly but don't really care for the app at this point. Definitely prefer just accessing the website via browser.

reddit gold is useless to me because of scripts which loads comments and expands all automatically.

Still thanks
