ugh... i saw that the other day on steam as a pop up event,i entered thinking of that's a great chance to upgrade my ram if i'd get lucky enough .too bad the giveaway is only for USA..why don't you make it available for other countries outside USA? :/

Entered it yesterday. I could use 16 GB of RAM.
I currently have 6 GB (2 x 2 GB are 1333 MHz) and then some slower 2 x 1 GB.

Replacing them all, going from 6 GB to 16 GB would be very nice.

The SteamGift.com mods have told me that they do not want this post giving away 16GB of RAM to you guys. Sorry about it, nothing I can do as they suspended my account for this give-away :(

How can you have so much RAM to giveaway 6×16

They suspended my account on Steamgifts for a while. I couldn't view this forum post, it kept on saying "YOU HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED".

I asked the mods to the site and they quoted to about "unethical" and "spam" and "unwanted commercial content designed to drive traffic to third party sites".

This leads me to believe that SteamGift views my give-away as unethical, spam, and unwanted commercial content. That's a shame. The webpage I'm linking to is simply a picture of the RAM + allowing users to enter and win. There are ZERO ADVERTISEMENTS on it, ZERO "UNETHICAL" ANYTHING, and ZERO "UNWANTED COMMERCIAL CONTENT". It is completely unrealistic of anybody to think I'm going to somehow make money giving away 16GB of RAM. Heck, if somebody can figure that out, they'd probably be rich and not posting here :)

What do you think? Is my post unethical? Spam? Unwanted Commercial Content? Or does it just seem like they don't want me to give away 16GB of RAM?

I thought we were here to support the greater gaming community, but apparently SteamGifts doesn't fully agree :(

I'll concede that I might be missing something here, but the heavy-hand of suspending me for posting a give-away on a very clean and ethical website just doesn't seem right.
