I haven't played a good game in awhile, and the summer break is ending soon. That being said, I'd like to play a good game before going back to college and work. So please, if you could tell me of a game with a really good storyline, please do. ( For the record, I really enjoyed the Mass Effect Trilogy, even with the original ending; Mention: The game has to be available on PC )

I'd say Alan Wake is pretty nice, and the writings are awesome too.

And people actually mention any Final Fantasy game here... the most incoherent collection of words/turds that even an illiterate wouldn't consider to be a story.
Tasteless wannabe gamers.

Plenty of other actual good recommendations here though, but this... Extremely misleading.

"How dare you like what I don't like!?"

Seems pretty accurate. Most people, myself included, find it to be an amazing series.

Well i actually LOVE FF7 and FF franchise alot, but stories in JRPG titles are mostly terrible or mediocre cause they need to somehow stretch it to like 100 hours gameplay and some moments looks stupid, uninspired, unnecessary, mostly in the middle of the game. What i liked in FF franchise is the world they created in every game, it's so awesome and you want to explore it to know more, but main quest is... meh.

If you enjoyed Mass Effect, you should at least give Dragon Age a try. They're both my favourite games and they're both RPGs, very similar as well. Main difference between both is the setting and the story.

Metro 2033 and Last Light, for FPS's. Super immersive, really cool world. I love them.

To the Moon--not much of a game, but one of the most emotional and interesting stories I've experienced. It's about 4 hours long, 3 if you're quick, and you want to play it in one sitting if possible.

Batman Arkham series, easy enough to imagine why.

Brutal Legend was pretty awesome if you like metal. Just a real good time.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North isn't an incredible story, but for a huge LOTR fan, it was pretty great.

I believe someone else had a thread pretty much identical to this one, you can search the forums for similar things and you'll probably find other great suggestions.

I really enjoyed the storylines in The Darkness and Deus Ex:HR (if you hack enough computers to get background info in-game).
