Opening your wallet for this Humble Monthly?
Indeed sir, you get the featured/main game instantly and once the next bundle airs, you get the rest of the games in the bundle. After that, there is no purchasing the bundle anymore. There's a timer on it you can see. Your only hope is to get trades or buy it elsewhere.
If you ask me, $12 for this game alone is enough motivation to buy the bundle, everything else is just a great bonus/surprise in a month's time.

So I really haven't been a fan of the recent total war games. Loved the first few, Shogun, Medieval 1&2 and Rome. Didn't like empire, but love Napoleon. The series kind of lost its luster for me, couldn't get into Shogun 2, and while I liked Rome 2, the pacing is off and it becomes tedious too quickly. I have, but haven't made a dent in, Atilla, so now I got to ask, how does this game stack up? Is it in line with the last few games, or is it a noticeable improvement? Is it worth my time?

I'd recommend you heavily mod Rome II, then it becomes a gem. It's a definite improvement in terms of mechanics over Rome II. However, all strategy games will logically have a moment that provokes you or becomes tedious. It's definitely worth a try at the very least.

I'm too lazy to type a new reply so here's a copypasta:
" Though from what you have posted since I have not played it I can gather this games has strayed far from its past games?"
Well depending on the TW game, then yes? The last TW game that had things set up the way I loved was Medieval, with roving diplomats, merchants, agents, etc as well as being able to run each settlement independently. Combat was the standard "hammer and anvil" tactics of cavalry+infantry with ranged support.
Stuff began to change in Empire and Napoleon when they got rid of some of the smaller complexities and focused much more on the War aspect of Total War.
Warhammer's best aspect is the vast difference in tactics per army. A lot of the factions in other TW games played exactly the same, you just had different colors and maybe someone was better at archery and someone else was better at the charge.
PS-The lore is integral to the game, imho. It might be advised to visit these sites:

I think it's very different from the other TW games. The addition of flying units, monster units and magic/runes mechanics are a nice change in the TW series.

From the videos I watched, it's basically Rome2/Attila with cool Warhammer units.
The only addition I can think of are generals as 'hero' units that can take on half an army, or cast spells.

It shouldn't affect multiplayer too bad. Sometimes some units are a bit OP, but CA is still constantly balancing things (patches are usually released once every month, sometimes with a smaller patch in between to quickly fix some important stuff), so it shouldn't remain that way. I'm not a multiplayer player myself though, so I might be wrong.

Oh wow, i've wanted to try total war :war hammer for some time now, i'm a huge fan of the total war series this might be another early unlock for me
(favorite being the first rome total war)

Stupid question, don't know if someone asked before. If I already got my re-subscribe offer of 5$ on Feb, can I get it again on March?
Comment has been collapsed.
Dang that's crazy, even Rome2 never drops below 10$ on sales.
Their recent sales numbers must have been sad ;/

Do I still get extra games if I cancel subscription now ?
Comment has been collapsed.
There is a ton of shovelware priced at $20USD only to be discounted 90% every sale. There are also some VERY good $20 games without many significant discounts. MSRP isn't that important tbh.

I know it isn't very important, but seeing as Humble advertises it with the " atleast $100 (I think, could be $150) worth of games" it's already a loss of $60. The fact that I'm not interested in the early-unlock in combination with its worth I choose to skip this month as well.
But I know there are very good games for $20 or less. Rocket League is my most played games, and games like stardew valley also are very fun for me.

I'm not sure if I should get this or not. Leaving aside all the hype, can anyone that actually played Total War: Warhammer confirm if it's worth the price? At first sight it looks kind of a "Meh" game.

I'm not interested in this game either, but it was a no brainer to get this bundle, as I already got the full value of the bundle ($12) just for trading this one game away (for 14 sacks of gems). All the other games are now just going to be a free bonus.

I'm not interested in trading it, but rather if it deserves a chance or not. The Warhammer setup seems cool enough but I feel like there's something off about this game, not sure what. And that "je ne sais quoi" makes me wonder if it's worth the price from a gaming perspective.

It is not random! They skip if the following formula is true:
(Number of times Gaben had noodles in the last 7 days)*(Number of no scope kills in CSGO)/(cheaters in MOBAs on Steam) > 3.14159
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes. Maybe the formula is a little off. Let's invent something new to correct for the difference. Let's call it DARK MATTER NOODLES.

I bought it last month for XCOM 2 but already cancelled my subscription.
Another game with denuvo protection and on top of that with a bad dlc policy? I remember a time when Humble Bundle was all about DRM-free games and respectful business practices. It's still a great place to get games but the spirit that drew me to it is long gone, it seems.

So i'm considering whether or not to get this months bundle.
I own a few Total War games - Empire, Shogun 2, Rome 1, and i enjoy them but am a little worn out on the formula.
What does Warhammer do differently if anything? Keep in mind that i don't know anything about the game really.
Comment has been collapsed.
Adds weight and impact back to the battles, adds magic to battles, flying creatures, all the factions play differently, adds hero units, great workshop support and mods, an overwhelming amount of DLC. But the campaign map is Rome 2 style, so if you prefer earlier campaign map styles (such as Med 2, Rome 1) you might not like the campaign map.
It's a fantastic Total War entry, people's main beefs with it are 1- too much DLC (already has $65 worth of DLC, more than a full price triple A title, and considering there are 2 more expansions coming, and each expansion will probably have even more DLC under it, the cost of buying everything at full price when it comes out will probably total somewhere in the $300-$400 range) and 2- the fantasy setting (historical elitists complaining).
