Penguins have won th cup. Hope you are happy >:( </3

Furthermore, my boy Hertl is hurtl (I was rooting for the Sharks because of him) T_T

I have to write an essay and study for an exam, but I've lost all my drive. :| I've passed all the other (six) exams to date, there's only this one left, but I don't want to do anything.

I will move home for the summer holidays, my dad expects me to find a part-time job. But that would mean I wouldn't be able to visit the few friends I've got left around the country. We wanted to go for some adventure hiking abroad but I am too anxious. I just want to lay in bed forever.

I have friends that I maybe see once a year. When we do, everything's great and it's like we were never apart. That's the mark of true friendship.
But we have separate lives in separate parts of the world, so, c'est la vie

yea been here for about a year and a half absolutely hate it here, the heat i can deal with... the people i cant, such nasty people around here and the police do not patrol the neighborhoods as they are understaffed by 900 officers, and if you call the cops for a disturbance it takes them 40 minutes to get there and if the disturbance is over by the time they get there they fine you for wasting there time..i spend about 5 minutes a day picking up trash around my yard because apparently no one around here knows how to use a trash can and the wind likes to blow it all over my fence.and i have to sleep with ear plugs in because apparently 1am is the proper time to start a karaoke party in your back yard every night around here.
soon as my lease is up this place is in my rear view mirror,im so glad i decided to wait to buy a home here.

Mostly the fact that it's challenging and it requires a special set of skills . Where I come from, everyone starts working summer or part time at 13. It gets you prepared for life post-school. Plus that sweet, sweet money.
Don't decide beforehand that it'll suck, a right job in a right place won't.

Well, my sister behaves like a total bitch towards me and my mother, and she's an indifferent and incompetent parent, so I'm worried about my niece. My father has spent last weekend with a woman 3 years older than me, tomorrow he'll come back home to my mother, and they both will behave as if nothing has happened (aside from the fact that she'll cry on my shoulder a lot). I've got two real friends, one of them is slowly losing her eyesight, the other's child was recently diagnosed with autism (the diagnosis will possibly be corrected to schizophrenia when the boy is older); I used to have three of them, but my cat who'd been with me for more than 20 years died a year ago. I have no job, no boyfriend, but hey, I've got depression and some other health issues instead. Oh, and I live in a shithole of a country, that bothers me from time to time as well.

Also I've never learned boundaries and don't know when to stop; well, you've probably already noticed. Whenever anybody offers an ear, I just unload it all.

damn, that's a lot. If you want to unload more less publicly, feel free to add me on steam.

  • There's nothing you can do about your sister. Just be there for your niece as much as you can
  • It sucks, but at least you still have a father, and he's still around. That's more than either me or my spouse has
  • Your mother has every right to cry. Up to you whether you want to keep providing a shoulder for her to cry on
  • Hey, at least you have friends. Several people have commented in this thread that they don't
  • Autism sucks, but it's not the end of the world. I have two cousins on the autism spectrum who are both leading a full life (more or less)
  • I'm more of a dog person, but still, sorry about your cat.
  • no job... ouch. Hope you manage to find one some day
  • no boyfriend... well, at least you're not in an abusive relationship
  • depression.... at least you're aware of it, which is the first step in dealing with it.
  • other health issues.... without knowing more I can't really say anything, but, I hope you get better (or that you can cope)
  • yeah, russia's a shithole. Then again, there's no heaven on earth. Every place has issues, just different issues. (and I say this having lived in multiple parts of several different countries, and from having travelled extensively)

  1. Maybe you could offer to babysit your niece as often as possible, that would help her a lot, I think.
  2. How about confronting your father about this in private, when you are calm and prepared?
  3. (Mental) illness doesn't have to be a life-ruiner. Try to be supportive and understanding of him and your friend. Also, what dingbat said.
  4. All countries suck to some extent, try to appreciate the positive side of Russia (or learn about the negative sides of other countries:P )

My stomach. Celebrated someone's birthday last Thursday and had stomach pain the next day. Put it down to drinking and eating too much.

It's still there now after every time I try to eat. No diarrhea or anything, just pain and slight nausea. Never known anything like this before.

Eaten for the first time in over 24 hours a few minutes ago and I'll see how it goes, no pain just yet but it might kick in soon. If this continues I'm off to the doctor. Beginning to think I may have a stomach ulcer, but that may well be me scaring myself after looking up symptoms.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

DON'T LOOK UP SYMPTOMS. Symptoms are pretty much the same for everything, and you'll have a whole list of terrible diseases to match whatever symptom you may have.
Try not to think about it and hope it goes away. If it persists for much longer, go see a doctor

Comment has been collapsed.

I mean it. My fifty-something uncle read his symptoms online and came to the conclusion he had Crohn's Disease.
Newsflash: You don't develop Crohn's Disease suddenly. If you didn't get diagnosed in your twenties (or earlier) you don't have, nor ever will have, Crohn's Disease.
note: my brother is a doctor; he can go far more in-depth. But basically, any single symptom, or any combination of symptoms, can have a hundred different causes, and without proper training, you have no way of figuring it out

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I meant the thank you! :p

I suppose I just panicked a little bit and I don't think I've ever looked up symptoms before. It's because every other time in my life I've had a bit of a dodgy stomach it's been diarrhea and it's always pretty much passed within 24 hours. This thing's been hanging around 4 days now, whatever it is, and I started wondering what it could be.

Thanks again.

You need money to go somewhere else..

Living elsewhere in my state:
$300 AUD for movers
$50 fuel
$500 Bond and rent in advance- LOWEST amount
A possibility that you might find work in that state, not saying you will...

Inter state is even more pricey, thats got the boat fare and if Im looking in the mainland, the rental prices are waaay more exy.
Yes, I hope something turns up very quick soon too, and Ive done it and its the worst, it really had effected me mentally. I was better BEFORE I did it...

Having to resurrect a Windows 95 (yes, 95) PC with a failing HDD to get some archaic DOS software off it, then get it running to it can be used for "the next year or so" to import/export files to a new (er) format for a new CNC Mill. If I can't, it'll mean manually reprogramming hundreds of parts. I've already built a virtual but it doesn't want to talk to the parallel (yes, parallel) hardware dongle. Headache after headache.
