A private giveaway isn't visible to normal users. The only way to enter is if someone (usually the creator) sends you a link to the giveaway page (like this, for example).

A private giveaway is where you can only enter if you are given access to the link, it wont appear with the public giveaways.

Most cheaters use private giveaway's to bump there con value.

They are called private because only you can make it and join.
