Yes, It was cool
No, nothing what I expected
Star Wars Battlefront 2 was better IMO.

I thought it was fun, but it certainly didn't feel like Battlefront. There were some aspects from the old Battlefronts still in there such as weapons overheating and being able to play as movie characters. But it just felt much more like Battlefield than Battlefront to me.

That aside, the match balancing sucks (at least in the Beta). Spawning is horrendous at times (was killed 5 times in a row because of spawn deaths). The guns and power-ups don't feel all that balanced to me.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 was better its actually the right answer for me. It didn't catch the battlefront spirit at all, it just feels like another battlefield.

This happens when another company try to do a sequel of a game that don't correspond them.

I cancelled my preorder after playing the beta. It was pretty, but walker assault just wasn't fun and it seemed like the game would be fun for a week then I would move on and never go back.

As broken and as much of a let down as I thought it would be. This isn't a 3rd battlefront game. This is the next battlefield game.

Don't agree with that at all... sure, the Battlefield games had gone downhill as of late but there's still a ton of depth in them. Maps have lots of variety in routes you can take and more weapons than you could ever want. This Battlefront had none of that. Extremely simplified combat with either a absolutely tiny map, or a completely linear one.

If I had to compare this to a Battlefield game it wouldn't be any of the main ones... it would be Battlefield Heroes. That's saying something.

I'd compare it because it played exactly like every new battlefield game and followed the same trend of each subsequent game getting worse.

Dice was just the worst company to give Battlefront to.

It was really cool! I've pre-ordered the game.
P.S. It plays NOTHING like Battlefield. You, guys, are wrong.

It was fun! However, I think that the game will get boring quickly. How many laser guns can you have before they all seem the same? The game is beautiful and may be one of the best looking games of 2015. I really am going to miss galactic conquest though.

Looked quite pretty and the sound effects were also amazing. In terms of gameplay it's not really something that keeps me playing though. There's also no server browser which is something I really don't understand and a big no go for me.

The sound and visuals were amazing but when it comes to gameplay, it felt like it was missing something.

I wish Free Radical could've released their game before it got canceled. Now all that we have is this, and honestly, it isn't looking too bright.

It looks and sounds the part. And there's a good game somewhere in there, if only it spent another year or so in the cooker... and wasn't already condemned by being an EA game.

Whatever potential it had, Make no mistake, this is ultimately another mediocre CoDtender. This game will be very, very bare bones for a major release, and the only thing that will keep it from fading into obscurity like Titanfall or MoH is the Star Wars license. And EA is going to milk the shit out of it. It's not worth the base preorder. It's definitely not worth the overpriced Deluxe or Ultimate editions. And if they can't keep a sufficient player population, which it might not, then this game won't even be worthwhile sale material.

Also I have absolutely no hopes for the new movie either. The latest Star Trek movies are well crafted money makers. The Marvel movies are well crafted money makers. If Star Wars VII happens to be more like a typical Marvel movie than a JJ Star Trek flick then it'll have more substance than the prequel films, but that's not much comfort when we all should know that it's first and foremost a massive money maker plain and simple. If you think this is a problem, go see Mad Max Fury Road, or Pacific Rim, or Guardians of the Galaxy. Or just compare the original and prequel trilogies. It's nigh impossible to create a work that will connect emotionally with the audience, if the creators aren't emotionally connected with it to begin with. Does Abrams have an emotional connection with Star Wars? Do the Marvel execs? Do they form emotional connections at all with anything they make?

It didn't really live up to my expectations so I'm not going to buy it. The game does look aesthetically beautiful, though.
