Help me find a certain anime?

Oh well, first of all. I'm not so fond of anime, but there is a certain one that I watched nearly 8 years ago and I loved it so much. Unfortunately, I can't remember its name. So, if there are someone who can help me recover its name :/

Description of the anime: The anime has a female protagonist, her mother died when she was young. She got sad and couldn't get over it, her father as well. Which lead him to send her to a boarding school. In that school she had trouble making friends and spent most of her time alone playing with her bike that she made(She was fond of mecanics). Until one day(I can't remember quite well how it happened) she found some sort of gem?(Not sure). She was then transfered to another planet where they had a racin tournament(participants had to build their own racins cars, she was a mecanic so no problem). The prize was meating an oracle of life?(The girl's goal was to resseruct her mother).
