That's an impossible choice. Both have their charm. I vote for full moon instead (going along with my avatar).

I've taken the attached pictures in 2005, both on Bali. The left one shows sunrise on a mountain, the other sunset on the seashore.

As for sunrise, it's so irritating when I'm deep into a game and this shit suddenly happens.

everyone can see the sun set but only a few can see the sun rise ( because you always sleep late from gaming, you cant wake up early! ha!) so ye

But anyway, I'm an evening person, so I vote sunset.

Unluckily, I can't give a real fair opinion here due to my sleeping and work habits..
I often go to sleep at around 3AM (this is the standard hour!) so I saw every possible sunset in Europe and near areas.. but I saw really few sunrises =P
Due to my meds too I tend to sleep like 10 hours, if you suffer from chronic pain or fibromyalgia and other chronic fatigue related illnesses you can get me.. so yeah all in all I'd say sunset just because I see all of them.. my workplace and also my bedroom are both west-faced =P (yeah the Romans even here in Cisalpine Gaul did many things that lasted millennias, starting from roads.. xD)

Well i dislike the sun so sunset is the best. Less heat, no stupid light reflecting on anything mirror like and wonderful sleep

Sunset. The darkness is far more comfortable; much less heat to suffer in.

Sunset, it's easier on my eyes.

Sunrise, there's something pure and majestic about the first rays of sunshine on a summer day.
On the other hand, it might just be because I've seen my share of beautiful sunsets, and it doesn't feel special anymore.
