is it legal to install savegames for steam games ? And how i can install it?

to the latter: depends on game. like some are in /user/your name/my documents/, others are in application data, others still are in your steam game's folder.

It's pretty legal to put a save game file. As for how you do it, you first need to find your save file location and put the new one in.

Well, I did this with many games and had no problem. You won't get the achievements or something out of the blue so you'll have to replay but if the game doesn't block this by using an username+encryption system it's OK.

Try Google. '(Game name) save file PC', '(Game name) complete save file PC', along those lines. A lot of sites have sections for it. If the game has a version specific to a certain region, and the game is region-restricted in that regard, then you need to make sure it applies to the region of your game copy.

Make sure you backup your previous save and copy it to the desktop or a safe area before re-writing it into the game directory. You can never be too sure about some of the save files.

I did that with borderlands, when I opened my lvl 50+ char for the first time I unlocked dozens of archievements at the same time, I was like "WTF?!?!"

Yeah, same. I switched to a different hard drive and for some reason it deleted my achievements for one of my games, 'Binding of Isaac'; it unlocked all the ones I had gotten all at the exact time the first time I installed at started it up with the new hard drive. xD

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why it happened; my entire play time along with the achievements were erased. ._.

Not sure if it happened before I switched or during... All I know is when I installed and copied the save file and booted it up, it spammed the achievements for a good 4 minutes. xD
