360 controller should already be part of PC gamers' arsenal. Some games just are better with controller.

I agree the game is ass... but, I don't know why you would consider using anything other than an arcade joystick or controller for a fighting game.

I thought it was great, I used a controller because playing a fighting game with keyboard and mouse is bad, you should know that ;)

Played it with a controller and it was great.

its a great game made by gamers, that play fighting games as a career. a controller is necessary & it plays perfectly fine with a controller. branch out of your keyboard & mouse shell, you might be surprised & have more games available for you to play. not all games play well, using a mouse & keyboard & need a controller to get the best use out of them.

I played with a 360 controller, and while I am not a fighting game veteran (the only game I could remember and perform good combos was Tekken 5), I found some of the controls a bit awkward. Using a joystick made jumping and dashing feel awkward and much harder, but the directional pad didn't feel as responsive or quick enough. That being said I did figure out some combos (though I couldn't always pull them off), and being able to rotate the stick to do a combo was nice. I dislike how combos are described in HK or LP rather than X or Y, when obviously it had built in support for 360 controllers and could detect them. This made tutorials awkward, especially since it wouldn't let me do any moves but the ones that were being shown (then I would be able to see what was a punch) and when I went to the menu to check my configuration, I had to guess what button was 1 or 2. It was ok, but I wouldn't ever be able to play competitively or even above a button mashing and familiar/simple combos level. I probably wouldn't buy it, but if you are into fighting games then it might be your cup of tea.

It's a fighting game though, not sure what you expected, even a standard gamepad doesn't always cut it for those

I beat the game with a CAD workstation.

I beat DMC 3 at highest difficulty using the keyboard. Man up.

An xbox 360 controller is a good investment, this is coming from a guy who only plays on a PC.

Okay, well don't call the game horrible because it doesn't really support keyboard players. The game is fantastic, you just don't like the fact that it doesn't operate as well on keyboard as it does on controllers and sticks. Get your ducks lined up before you say a seriously brash, ignorant statement next time.

TBH, once you get past the annoying way of changing keys the game has no problems with a keyboard.
Unless your keyboard suffers from ghosting.
