Trine 2: Multiplayer action sidescroller puzzler, very entertaining, really liked the 1st one as well. 8/10
Torchlight 2: The first game was really good, and I played the beta for the sequel and beat Act 1, must say Runic Games has improved a lot to the game, it will be much more fun now with the incorporation of co-ops. 9/10

In the end they may have similar features but the genres are different, anyways, I would personally recommend Torchlight 2 =]

You can't expect people to compare them, two different types of genres.

definately Trine because Torchlight is pretty much a diablo which is boringly repetitive

well they are both very different games. i havent played trine 2 yet but it does looks great and ould be lots of fun playing with friends, i would reccomend getting it as all i hear is praise for it. Torchlight 2 isnt out yet but i played the beta and it is very fun with massive improvements from the first game and a hell of allot more items, enemies, areas etc. pre-order it very soon (don't know when it'll be released but hopefully soon) as you also get the first torchlight game with it.

I played Trine 2 - it's an excellent game....but i'm pretty sure that Torchlight II will give you more for the money - if you are up for mp and like games like Diablo.

Btw.... it's not easy to compare those games - Trine II is a kind of (coop) Jump & Run and Torchlight II is more like hack & slash.

It's difficult to judge a game that hasn't even been released yet, so Torchlight 2 is pretty much a guessing game.

You cant compare an action-rpg with an action-puzzle-thingy. that said, I´d get Torchlight 2 over Trine 2 at any given time. But thats just my personel opinion.

Also Torchlight 2 pre-order on steam comes with the first one.

to me its not even a choice i would get tl2, but it mostly depends which one you like more, the gameplay is very different so its really youre choice
