Talking seriously now, Illuminati existed and is (if some group still call themselves that way) a lot like the rosen cross; A small famous group existed and after its short-life other groups claim or are pointed at as being them; Their heritage, founded by some former member and such.

The New World Order babble comes from avant gard ideas from the enlightment age; Back there it made much more sense, the world lived with much more ignorance and religious powers in control(still happens today, imagine back then) so the only way these could see to fight it on more leveled grounds would be secretly manipulating, infiltrating and such everywhere; A NWO(any of many ideas as such) stands for nothing else more then utopian aims for a new age for society, one where the rich, religious or few families wouldn't sit where they are. Doesn't fit much for modern day.

Im more 'scared' of the much more real and threatning alliances purely for money and control, only some of those work like 'secret societies'; From these 'clubs' of 'one hand helping each other-behind the scenes' to the hundreds of political deals without this 'secret society' garmnent, those are real and make lasting impacts everywhere, dangerous ones even.

People are still much afraid of the more esoteric ones, simply effect of stupid medieval christian fears; yeah i say that from a christian family and i have a uncle that is a priest(before anyone criticizes me), and im not saying that being christian means being stupid... fear of the unknow and fear fed from medieval superstitions is what is stupid(fear is by definition irrational). This very uncle of mine doesn't bother with this issue, but ive met many other that sees anything 'esoteric' like something from devil worshipers who only want to do arm

Illuminati (any of the groups that might be called that) aren't that different from free masonry or groups like AMORC; Ive been into free masonry but jumped out soon... its nothing special, really not that different from any other 'open' esoteric line of thinking you will find elsewhere. Surely they have their theories, rules and such that are exclusive, wrapped in secrecy for 'deserving eyes only'... its like an rpg or school, content locked away until you reach a point the masters above you think you understand your level well enought to go deeper. Only difference is that they won't talk much about it (but few do, and its really not that hard to find some 'highest level' content elsewhere).

on a side note: funnily enought those most famous secret societies come from really deep christian roots; from free masonry to illuminati, they share a lot with gnosticism and esoteric christianism overall, mixing eastern esotery (all the way from Zoroaster to egyptian 'Hermetics') with jewish esoterism. In most cases they perceive themselves as more 'trully' christians then all, still closer to the roots back from the first temple of jerusalen and such.

Besides: the symbol on the american dollar comes from the free masons, they were quite polically active in the past. Still are but half or more politicians of past north america were free masons.

By the way that symbols isn't exclusive to them at all, its one of the 'cheapest' most common symbols elswhere; The triangle/pyramid represents the triplicity (read further if you wish, start at 'holy trinity'), the eye is enlightment; The inner eye so to say, those who seek enlightment (all esoteric lines will tell you that the way is looking inward)...

Both symbols are way too common on esoteric material, much more then the symbol of venus witchfied by wicca and holywood (the pentagram).

Illuminati wants NEW WORLD ORDER, I have no idea what is it. Because earth has tons of people, and those tons of people listening music, watching films, they are puting simbols in there, so people could see it and some how join those illuminati. Like those stars, they sold soul for money and fame, so they are slaves to the devil, and they have to do what devil says, like put those simbols in videos. You are slave, but you can have what eva you want. YOu can watch eminem videos, hes talking about that, that he wants to escape from this Illuminati, all his videos and the lyrics are talking about that. In his video not afraid, he said, that the video is about to not afraid of demons or something like that. Well its tons of teory, some of them true some of them not.

The world would be cooler if there were 'illuminati' like in deus ex and other conspiracy inspired fictions. It would mean we would had a real 'bad guys side' for everyone to join and fight against. Unfortunally things aren't that simple... wished they were, so i could fight the system with black shades and looking cool.
