I blacklist people when they win a GA from me and have a terrible ratio.

I'm only on 1 (I'm new here ^^), but the funny thing is that person added me right the day I signed up, without me doing anything more than maybe just entering a few GAs. Maybe they just didn't like my name 😃👀

No doubt the title of this thread is now obsolete because apparently creating a post to ask this question will land you on a number of blacklists. If you're satisfied with the information you've got (Yirg's "29 reasons" response at the bottom of the first page of comments is a good reference), you can limit the damage by closing this thread (and deleting it, maybe - not something I've done).

Don't lose any sleep over being blacklisted. The fact is, if you are on Steamgifts for any appreciable time, then you will be on blacklists. I don't know how many I'm on at the moment (and I don't care) but I've never been informed that I was being blacklisted or offered a reason. Don't make the mistaken assumption that everyone here is rational. There are some very petty people out there that compensate for the lack of control they feel they have in their lives by asserting it whenever they get a chance, like a bully too stupid to get into the police force that decides to work as a doorman so he can arbitrarily tell people that they can't enter. On the plus side, if you treat people with respect, you'll also end up on whitelists. You can't make everyone happy (and there arguably some that don't deserve it anyway), and if you try to please one person, you'll upset somebody else. If you just act with good conscience, you can accept that the people that blacklist you aren't your type of people, so you can ignore them (and I recommend ignoring the blacklist statistics - it does not reflect upon you as a person). In the doorman analogy, the thing about Steamgifts is that the bar you are not being let into may not even be serving anyone at the time, and there are literally thousands of alternatives right next door, with patrons that you'll get along with better.

The most important thing is not to take it personal. People tend to blacklist for the smallest mistake and getting on a whitelist is much harder.
I for example was at 11 WL 2 BL when I've created a giveaway and the same game just went free on a site some hours later and it was posted here at DEALS.
I wasn't at my computer for some hours and when I came back just to see that I was spammed with "scammer", "go f*ck yourself" and similar friendly messages and got on 20 blacklists or so.
It didn't matter that I've given away 200+ games before without any issue (and won around 40), my reputation basically was ruined for this simple mistake.
It didn't matter that I apologized, wrote down the situation and deleted the giveaway, people simply didn't bother to remove me from blacklist.

Long story short there is a reason that your BL counter isn't public, it doesn't represent how nice person you are or how much you give to this community in any way, so just keep up the good work and don't bother with blacklists!

If I had to take a best guess its because your giveaways all seem to be lvl 2 and 7 noobs who couldnt enter blacklisted. Ive got a ton but the best part is you never really ever encounter "you cant enter the giveaway because you are blacklisted" and thats because the ones who blacklist are the people who dont do GAs.

You say "thanks" at least when you win? I think that's the problem xD

The only way to avoid being blacklisted on this site, is to avoid being on this site.

I've never got into a fight or expressed any kind of personal things that will offend someone or etc, but yeah, I'm really curious why I am on so many, I have more than 1k comments, but most of them because I've made some trade topics and some group topics ^.^ (free entry to groups so i didn't rejected anyone)

You will get blacklists no matter what you do.
My advice is to don't care about that.

Maybe some people like to make acrostic stories with their blacklists, so when they read the first letter of each line it spells out something funny / awesome / rude.

Of course, that would take serious planning, since you'd have to start at the end first....but hey, your name starts with a G....maybe you were the G for give in "never gonna give you up..." epic blacklist lyric art project.
