Don't worry, the drama carries over to Steam as well. SG Staff are now offering all curious users official explanations as to why a user was suspended by posting inappropriate comments on suspended users profiles. Oh wait, sorry I got confused. They only do it for special users.
Either offer a public explanation for all suspended users or do what you should be doing as Staff members and keep the suspension details to yourselves and the individuals involved. What I think about any particular individual is irrelevant in this regard.

Not much to fight for if half of SG has Get Out of Jail Free card when it comes to being malicious about others for months. One does it for months without even getting a warn, and poses as the great benefitor while they don't even play their wins at all. What a great SG user model, smarmy and poseur.

That is exactly the problem. Too many people here has Get Out of Jail cards. I've seen at least 6-7 people going for months without even getting a war, posing as the great benefitor while they don't even play their wins at all. Meanwhile only 1 person gets suspended while everyone else doing the same continues here :/

I joined only a year ago and everyone was kind and helpful. Nowadays I have to worry about if my threads are good enough or if I say the right things.

That sums it up pretty nicely. I've been around a bit longer, but I always considered coming here one of the happier places. Now it's like walking a minefield where everything can blow up right in your face. There's some serious issues about how this site is run in regards of the forum and I have my fair share of moderating experience.

You just didn't see it at first. This has been like this three years ago as well. The only real difference that rampant elitism is now making up a smaller portion of the forums to give enough room to childish drama. Sometimes I really wonder if I the forum poster age average is really over 15 or not. It sure as fuck does not feel like it.

The long and short of things - People got ass-hurt assuming someone else was talking about them.
In typical fashion, they all played victim and cried and whined about it. Nothing new around here.
What they fail to realize is - if you're getting all ass-hurt over some vague generalizations, it's probably because you're feeling guilty - and that makes the problem with you.

They aren't ass-hurt at all. Just some folks have nothing better to do than pursue vendettas by looking for any excuse to complain about other people in the hope of getting them suspended or banned.
I can't condone Mullins for persistently rising to the bait that is provided and giving them ammunition. But on the other hand it increasingly seems like SG is being censored on the behalf of whoever has the least integrity.

They'd be offended no matter what anyone they don't like posts. They do the same bullshit with me. That sounds like a personal problem on their end, and just a form of passive-aggressive bullying they're so fond of crying about. Shit, I laughed for a year at someone telling everyone I'm a Nazi for saying the people on my blacklist were scum. I get the feeling I'd be a "Nazi" no matter what I'd said, though.
Anything Mully said could be about any number of people. Hell, I don't even know who she was talking about and she wouldn't reply when asked (I asked about one of them). If she was going to get suspended anyway, kinda wish she'd added names, like hers was in another thread. Ironically, not a fucking word was said or done about that thread.

Hmm, I always see some people fiercely defend her as if she never does anything wrong. But I've seen her do some mean things to another very gentle user on this site, just because she's subtle or sarcastic about it doesn't make it right. On that one occurrence it was very clear who she was alluding to, when you're subtle but it's still clear who you're talking about it's still bullying. The worst part is she doesn't seem to even realize she's doing anything wrong, and her "friends" only reinforce this. And it's not like I hate her, not even close, she can be quite funny, I just feel like she isn't very happy and she takes it out on other people on this forum and sometimes takes it too far. Honestly I wish she could find some more happiness in her life. So I have to agree with the mod/mods for their action.

Well since I can't say anyone's name without it being considered "calling out", I don't think we're talking about the same person, but it's always possible of course. I don't know what drama goes on in other Steam groups or on Steam, I certainly don't have a full picture, nor do I just want to put all blame on her, but I've not seen this other gentle user be mean to other people. I think in any argument both parties have a part of the blame, and I don't think she is a bad person in essence either.

The thing about "gentle" users, is that they get defended even if they're promoting bad ideas. What I'm trying to say is, no matter how "gentle" someone is, personality-wise, the ideas they put forward should be every bit as much subject to criticism as ideas put forward by those who... maybe aren't so gentle. So was Mully mean to the user him/herself, or was Mully taking issue with some opinion/proposal/other idea put forth by the user? Some people refuse to distinguish between those two things and see both as being bad. But to me the latter is a perfectly legitimate thing to do on a forum (which is supposed to be an exchange of ideas). It's up to the "gentle" user to be prepared for people expressing opposing opinions, even those who do so caustically or sarcastically; they can't expect to be shielded from such just because they're "gentle".
Hope I expressed myself, uh, gently. :-) I don't want to be argumentative, but I really think this is worth noting.

I don't know who you're specifically referring to, but for a while now, but for some time now, Mully has been very conflict seeking. I don't want to see her permanently banned, but to me it has looked like she's intentionally trying to start fights with people, even people who's not directly involved in the drama, and despite being warned repeatedly about it, keeps trying to start fights.
For the record, I did not read her last thread, I stayed out of it because I expected it to be more conflict seeking, but I don't know what she actually posted.

mullins has been known to instigate conflict whenever & wherever possible, that's widely known & a great deal of why many many people like her including even myself. but that being her nature, it's bound to bite her in the ass from time to time, rightfully so.
however i went thru and read the entire thread and saw no conflicts of any type, it it was purely lighthearted humor. so i am still a little in the dark on something somewhere i think. unless it was literally people filling in the redacted blanks with their own name, it doesn't make much sense tbh.

As sad as it is, I have to agree with you. The first suspension seems to have triggered something. Since then she tried to stir the pot, everytime a little bit more aggressive. I have seen the last thread and the only intention for it was to poke CG and staff and to create drama. I have to admit that I think it's correct to be suspended for that after all those warnings that happened before. There are rules and limits and if you want to find out how much you can bend the limits to stay within the rules or just so slightly cross over them, well, you will find out eventually.
What in contrast I don't agree with is that the same standard is not applied to every other poster in this forum. There are more than enough posters who create threads just to stir the pot or create drama. And I don't see them being suspended. Maybe because their threads didn't take off like this and were buried quite fast? Who knows. I don't know.

I've not seen anyone consistently act as conflict seeking as her, but then again, I have been staying away from certain threads. Individually none of Muly's posts seem that bad, but it just keeps adding up. So while others might overstep their boundaries from time to time, she does it a lot.
