Thanks for invite-- but maybe I did something wrong? I went to group- saw Invited by Winthrop button and clicked on it-- but then it says now Membership by invite only and I cant view any GAs.
Maybe you have to finally click ADD on your side and I just need to be patient?? If so disregard this post--

Been kicked for "not reading GAs description" without even knowing that was a thing in the group? Even have giving away 6 games for the group and wanting to give more in the future?
I've just read a description for a recent giveaway of the group to see what it was about, and saw that mentioned, but it was not a rule from the start, I could never predict you guys would create more rules, and why would you guys prevent people to use EasySteamGifts? Its a great extension, the site itself does not prohibit, it saves time (I cannot stay the whole day at the website, I join it half a dozen of times at day, expend my points, read forums and comment on it if there is something interesting), it allows to roll to continue seeing other pages, it allows to format comments in posts, etc.
And mostly important, it allows to not having to open all the pages of giveaways to join them since from the start of my time here I keep hearing from everyone that giveaway creators does not like "thank you" comments, so I never bother to open the giveaways at all, also most of them doesn't have description. With EasySteamGifts I have only to click "join" when I see a giveaway I want to enter.
Also, whats not polite on not reading descriptions? Since I've learned creators doesn't like "thank you" comments and I thought that you couldn't create a special rule for GAs (researched today and found out that that is only for public giveaways, I didn't knew it was valid for group/private ones since there is nothing in F.A.Q about it and only a post in the forum), I thanks every GA creator when I win, I comment on giveaways of games I like to remind people that that game is great, make sure to send polite congratulations e-mail with the key even when its already on SG website already, in 2 months I have 285 comments on forum. I mean, its like not I don't care at all.
I may not have been active in the Steam group of SpaceCat for some days, but I was being active on creating giveaways for it and I was planning on creating more.
Anyway, bad rule. Unnecessary. Or at least bad applied. I was a good member, joined mostly to contribute and I was feeling great about being able to contribute to people with profile specifications like mine (1+, maximum 2:1 ratio, etc). That is very unfortunate. But good luck with the group.

You can argue as you want but the crucial point is one: Respect.
You are good at talking, made a nice long post, but if you wonder what is the meaning of reading a description or reading some announcements then you really missed the point, the REAL point of SteamGifts and our group, being a community.
Oh, and for what is worth, EasySteamGift is AGAINST THE ToS OF STEAMGIFT, so don't even try to talk yourself out of it.
It. Can't. Be. Used.
And it's not a my opinion, is confirmed by the support.
P.s: Next time you can talk with us instead of trying to show "how bad we are"

1 - EasySteamGifts its not against ToS, the "autoentering botting" that the link you posted mentioned is (and I didn't even knew that existed). The feature I meant from EasySteamGifts that I use is the one that shows a "join" button at the giveaways on the homepage. That is why I don't read descriptions. That is far from "autoentering botting". The extension itself its not against the ToS, and I'm pretty sure the majority of the group uses it.
2 - I do respect the people. That is why I created the 2º giveaway for the group, made 5 other more, and had other planned. Created posts on group for all of them. Is that not being a part of the community? I have not been entering my Steam account last days too much because I'm having CPU problems after a bad overclock I made and I don't follow any groups so I don't receive notifications of new posts. Because in like 2 or 1 week I didn't checked the group and I don't read descriptions, that takes everything else down and suddenly I do not respect people?
And I didn't tried to show "how bad you are". I was just explaining how bad the rule is, because not reading descriptions =/= botting stuff, and that is far from reflect the intentions of the members. You could have at least checked the profiles of the people kicked to see if the person was at least contributing to the group, could give a warning, I dunno.
You tried to bait people using bots but I'm pretty sure the majority of people kicked was only using the same feature as I do.
And if do not read description for "respect" it means for you that I'm not part of the community or I that I do not respect other members and that, for you, is a reason for kicking people, just lol.
EDIT: Next time you guys could wait before starting another group so you can set that rule from the start so you avoid kicking people with good intentions from the wrong reason.

1 - Sorry but you are wrong, EasySG show the "join" button indeed but it even (if you want) write an automated text comment in it, this is "autogenerating content" and it's against the ToS. Now, you can tell me you "don't use that feature" but since the program can do it it is not legit. And no, majority of the group comments in the right way so they don't use it.
2 - I see a serious difference of values here, for you "not reading anything in 1 or 2 weeks and clicking on a join button without reading the description" is not a bad thing... I guess we have different point of view then, sorry but for me being a part of community is actually paying attention to others users more than throwing in some GAs (not that I'm not grateful that you shared). Also if the heavy steam client doesn't work there is always the web one, work just fine.
If you try to "show how bad the rules are" is quite the same of "showing how bad we handled it" but anyway no, I don't agree, we gave a month of warning and still warned on every GA, it's quite enough time. To us if people doesn't read announcements or GA description in a month time but just joins in then it shows the intention of people.
If we lured people that uses your same feature then we are happy with that, EasySG and company are not welcome, reading description is not a big job and the creator deserves it.
I just find it a little sad that for you skipping all that isn't a bad thing.
If you still don't agree with that then it means we will never meet an agreement point, thanks for your sharing in the group but alas there are disagreements on what you and we call "community" and "respect toward GA owner and Admins"
Best of luck on SG

I explained above why I wasn't checking the group.
By the way, just see how absurd the rule is:
1) You don't need to make giveaways to join, but you have to read descriptions.
2) You giveaway games but you don't read descriptions? Kicked.
Its your group, do whatever you want. Its not your fault, simply by looking at the rule you can say it was fair. I was just saying the rule is bad and kicked a guy from group that was giving games and wanted to give more.
I think that when it comes to respect, GA > Reading description.
But that is up to you to decide.

As said above
Reading description > GA
It's a reward COMMUNITY for low level, not a GA group, if me and Yunie will be the only to do GAs we are fine with that, we prefer active and friendly users.

Good day fellow SG community,
After a little break we are opening again the recruitment for the semi-permanant event for level 1 and 2 users.
For the ones who sees this for the first time here is a short explanation: We are seeking good level 1 - 2 users who will be invited to join a Steam Group; me, Yunie and a bunch of good willing guests will do giveaways for it. The users will have to do... nothing, we are just giving you a chance to win even if you are low level, because you are cool :)
Here is how it works:
Who will be invited:
N.B: Admins reserve the right to judge an account on other basis in some occasion
What does "Good SG profile" means?
Who will leave the group:
If you are interested in joining leave a comment below, we will check your profile and invite you if eligible. The giveaways will start after the first round of recruitment.
PLEASE, keep in mind that we can't explain to each one why they are not selected, don't insist on asking, the answer is written above.
N.B: This is NOT a "classic" giveaway group, user are NOT required to do giveaways (but they are not forbidden)
For the guest: At the moment we are full, you can write down if you want to know when a spot becomes available, thanks to all of you!
