Check out people's profiles. Make friends with them use your social skills. Just hook up with people and stay with them and eventually you will swim in private groups.

I encourage you not to. Some private groups haze people who want to join their group.

Looks like you must meet some requirements to join private groups. I guess each one of them have their specific rules to join, so why don't you read those rules or talk to the admin of the group you're interested in being part?
