Overused font which doesn't look very appealing, I'd guess.

Buts it's so useful in making low res print legible.
But I've also heard people complain about it being unprofessional, which is a fair point.

I personally dislike "round" fonts. I prefer the classic kind of font or the regular one like on SG, I find them to be more readable.

the only 2 reasons I can think of for going to Malta are:
A) historic research as in, scholars, academics, and history buffs
B) Sun. It's still a Mediterranean island, so that alone makes it worth visiting not to say that there aren't better Mediterranean islands, but whatever

Anti-vaxxers are fucking idiots.
That isn't unpopular :P. It is sad when you think that only 2 generations ago polio was huge problem that only got solved due to vaccines. Scary to think that it can make a comeback because peeps believe internet mumbo-jumbo over proven science :/.

Agreed and they are needed in a world that is slowly running out of water and food :/. Hell if everyone ate like the West, we would be in serious trouble right now.
Comment has been collapsed.
actually, and surprisingly, not true. There is more than enough food production in the world.
Food production has increased more than food consumption has, which is what allows such waste.
Doesn't mean we won't run out of food eventually, but, we'll probably run out of other valuable resources, like clean air, first

GMO didn't solve that. In fact, GMO (and specifically the inability to save seeds with most of the crops) has been bankrupting Indian farmers.

If I am vaccinated against some virus, can I get sick of the said disease from someone who isn't vaccinated? I don't actually know how vaccines work or if they all work on the same principle, but some basic level information I learned years ago at school and that their efficiency is proved by the decreasing number of infantile deaths in the past century.
Comment has been collapsed.
1) some people are unable to get vaccinated, e.g. people with weakened immune systems. They rely on herd immunity
2) vaccinations are not 100% effective. Therefore, having everyone vaccinated makes up for the less than perfect effectiveness
3) viruses can and do mutate. The more prevalent a virus is, the greater the chances and incidences of mutation. Including the chance that it mutates in a way that would circumvent the vaccine
A simple way to explain vaccines is that you are injected with a dead version of the bacteria/virus. Your body learns to fight this version, so that if you're ever infected with a live/active version of that bacteria/virus, your body recognizes it and knows how to fight it.
The efficiency of vaccines is proven in the eradication of smallpox, as well as the extremely limited geographic areas of polio. The problem of not vaccinating is evidenced by the fact that measles was eradicated in North America in 1980 and was becoming less and less common in other parts of the world, but is now making a comeback with more and worse outbreaks every year - and those outbreaks happen to center around areas with a high prevalence of anti-vaxxers.

I really disagree with the last one. I appreciate mostly any giveaway regardless of if it's bundled or not.

I'd say StarCraft is more overrated, but HL2 is ranking high on the overrated chart indeed. HL1 had the logic-based segments going for it, which was rather unique in a shooter back then: problem-solving that didn't just relied on finding a random key and/or killing a ton of enemies.

I don't like Taylor Swift.
(I'm sure other people agree with me on this, but almost everyone I know either likes her or is indifferent towards her. I used to be indifferent too but in recent years I've started to actively dislike her.)

Religions are a danger for mankind's prosperity.

Watch_Dogs was a good game. So was Deus Ex: Invisible War.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's the result of humanity's fear that there's nothing waiting for us after our neurons are shut down for good. They make people dangerous and unpredictable. At best, they bring about stupid rules and judgements, at worst, they start wars and have the capacity to bring races to extinction.

So? Should we allow religious communities to execute gays and perform female genital mutilations? Just because religions are not the root of all evil and because "[Humanity]'d be intolerant about different things?"
Comment has been collapsed.
No, but it's not like religion is the only reason people do those things. Removing it wouldn't erase all the evils in the world.

It's like saying "Cancer isn't the only cause of death, why cure it when people will still die of something?"
Comment has been collapsed.
I feel it's more like cars. Yes, some people die in automobiles accidents, but that doesn't mean we should ban cars. Restrict some things like speed limits seat belts and drink driving, but cars are still important to society and useful, so we shouldn't ban them.
Comment has been collapsed.
Having a religion that says god has written "kill gays lol" isn't dangerous? And having billions of idiots following such a random book just because their parents said so isn't either?

What are your unpopular opinions?
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't believe free will exists in the simple sense that some people claim it does. I believe we have free will in the sense that we are able to act according to our preferences, but we're not able to choose anything else. In philosophy this is called compatibalism and it makes a lot of people very uncomfortable.
I'm also an atheist but in my area that's pretty common. So I don't know if I'd call it an unpopular belief. Worldwide it can definitely be called one.
Comment has been collapsed.
I get you, I think that, at the end of the day, every single one of our actions are predetermined by ourselves and still out of our control.
If we are thrown into the same situation a million times with no variables and no recollection, our brain will act and we will think and take participation in the exact same way, our body responding the same way. Dunno if there's a name for that line of thought, but I guess it's close to what you think, just that at a physical level of invariability.

I've tried to play a few Legend of Zelda games and couldn't get into them at all.
I don't like the LoTR films.
I don't like Beyoncé.
I don't understand how the million of early access survival games get so popular? They're basically all the same.
I don't understand why Parks and Recreation is so many people's favourite show. It's not that I HATED it, but I watched 4 or 5 episodes and didn't smile or laugh at all, so I gave up.
Comment has been collapsed.
The first ones aren't that good. Same deal with the office, the humor catches up in the last chapters to second season. Either way it's not that good and the Office is way better in my opinion.
And about survival games, if you like one you'll like all the others, and people seem to like the genre.

Assuming Clinton is the Democratic nominee, writing in Sanders' name on the ballot isn't "voting with your values" - it's throwing away your vote and giving it to Trump (I say this as a Sanders supporter who would much rather have Clinton than Trump as our president, tyvm)

'despicable me' franchise is shit
Well, first 2 movies were good, but that was because they had a lot more to them than the Minions. Centering a whole movie on the yellow critters though...
Comment has been collapsed.
The first movie had no intentions of turning the minions into a franchise of its own.
It was just an easy way to create comedy, they where used sparingly just so kids wouldnt fall asleep during the movie.

I. Talos Principle is just okaish game. Nothing spectacular or innovative.
II. Ghost in the Shell is an awful anime and looks like protagonists just showing off who knows more philosophical quotes. The whole dialogs were just quotes, quotes, quotes... Like somebody wanted to grow their ego...
III. Never read Harry Potter and never will.
IV. Game of Thrones is just so boring.
V. Into the Wild protagonist isn't a "hero" but just a childo with problems and was annoying the whole movie.
VI. Harakiri Murakami is Japanese Paulo Coelho. Sweetheart Sputnik is an awful book with showing off author's muscial taste etc. instead of actual plot.

I tried reading Norwegian Wood because people told me it was good, only read like 5 pages and changed the book for two better books
Comment has been collapsed.
I do like the theme but [may contain spoilers of Talos Principle] I've read I, Robot just before playing the game so for me it was like repeating the book, only in the book there were more interesting facts discussed. Not to mention the ending which is obviously Matrix rip-off ^^ So for me the game was like a bunch of repeats I've already seen elswhere, maybe that's why I wasn't amazed by the game :)

You sure you didn't see the second feature film of GitS? The first one still has a plot. Also, the series was adapted mostly from the manga, so it is less philosophical and more about investigating crimes and conspiracies (and it has one of my all-time favourite dialogue-only episodes in the first season, an investigation talk that puts the entire Death Note series to shame).
Comment has been collapsed.
I've started with GitS2 tbh and I was like "what have I just watched"? And I thougjt that maybe I should watch first movie to appreciate it more but... I've lasted only until half of the movie. Death Note on the other hand was excellent for me. Maybe I should read the manga for GitS but if it's "philosophical" in a way the movie is, which means shooting with philosophical quotes from machinegun then I'll pass :P
Comment has been collapsed.
That's the all point of Into the Wild.
Dont you remember...at the end of the movie the main character realizes life is meant to be shared and dies alone from a death that could be easily avoided
why did you assume every movie character needs to be a hero, he is a real person with real problems
Comment has been collapsed.
That's because of narrator (it was main protagonist sister) who were talking some pathetic things about her brother. I know that it might be only her thoughts but when you're director narrating is always a way to share your thoughts. If it wasn't for that then her opinion about her brother leaving could be shown in other way. For me it was this kind of narrator "who knows" and the way I see this was created by the way the movie was made. Btw, I've heard a lot of people saying they'd like to live like the main protagonist and that he was really free person and they are jelly about it.
TL;DR
I'd call this movie great if not sister's narration :)

I had a similar problem with Lebowski, i feel people have missed the point of the movie, some of them, even surprisingly cinema students had this passion for him and the way he lives.

Did you try BL2 then? I feel the same way about the first one and I don't think I'll ever finish it. I heard good things about the second one and the main villain is in the TftBL which is a pure gold, so I kinda in the mood give it a go. But if it's the same thing as first one I won't waste my time.

The Transformers movies are good fun (apart from Revenge of The Fallen, which made too many stupid mistakes).
If you're one of those 80's Generation 1 purists, go rewatch "Carnage in C-Minor," and/or "Sea Change", or go re-read the old comic "Buster Witwicky and the Car Wash of Doom".
