I want to load a new audiobook on my ipod before I go to bed, but I'm all out of ideas.

Edit: Sci-fi and fantasy are my preferred genres, but any good book is worth my attention.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

The mortal instruments series, not an e-book but fantastic none the less, you can get in on the kindle store though. I would recommend this series to anyone.

I don't know if there is an audiobook of it, but the Ranger's Apprentice is a good fantasy book.

Fantasy: The Night Angel Trilogy was very enjoyable. You can't go wrong with The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. The best recently published fantasy book I've read in ages would have to be The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson, it's a huge book in what's going to be a huge series (11-12 books?).

Sci-Fi: I highly recommend the Coldfire trilogy by C.S. Friedman but due to lack of technology and the setting it reads like a fantasy series. Snowcrash by Neil Stephenson is fantastic. I also loved the Otherland series by Tad Williams. The Vlad Taltos books by Steven Burst are also pretty good.
