I want to load a new audiobook on my ipod before I go to bed, but I'm all out of ideas.

Edit: Sci-fi and fantasy are my preferred genres, but any good book is worth my attention.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Appropriate for a gaming forum. O.S. Card also contributed to the origional monkey island, and more recently, shadow complex (on 360, wish it would come to steam). Movie is comming out this summer.

The audio book is well done too. The end of the series was a real downer though... I recomend stopping after the first book. If you're into anime, I'd liken it to Kenshin. Amazing at the get-go, but you are doing yourself a favor if you stop part way through.

Through the Ice. Co-written by Piers Anthony.

A guy gets into a fight, begins running across a frozen-over pond, and falls through the ice. Instead of death, he ends up in another world, meeting people from a world of Psionics, Magic, and pure Science. Adventure and a little hilarity ensues.
