I'm not sure which direction you guys are trying to sway him, it is all just so unclear.

L4D is Boring and the Catch Phrases Are so Repetitive and the Special Zombies are so Damn easy to Kill the game doesnt even require skills where as in Killing floor you need Skills or you Die !

Buy the game. Find 5 other friends to play with you.(Though make sure to have a voicechat server or similar service up for maximum lulz and RAGE!). Finally beat a map on Normal. Ramp it up to Hard. Weep softly.

It's a wave-based survival game instead of being a mostly "get from A to B" game.
One of the main advantages KF has over L4D is that even the most basic specimen/zed can be a threat. Clots can immobilize you if they get near you, and that can escalate quite quickly.
Also, there aren't any cheap mobs that force you to rely on other people if you get caught. No smokers, jockeys or hunters to take away control from the player. The only time you lose control of your character is when you die.

I also think another advantage is it actually promotes teamwork.
in l4d, the only real teamwork is "Oh look, im restricted, there is literally nothing i can do to save myself, please save me" (like you said)
in killing floor, every zed has a class designed to be killed by, you heal others way faster than yourself, and flashlights are legitimately useful (while in l4d, it only helps you)

I agree with all this and i feel like saying something more:graphics are enough well-made,ZED time is fun to watch when it happens and perk levelling is actually lot of fun, most with your friends.Yes,killing floor is really worth all of your money :)

It's got the best gunplay ever. RED ORCHESTRA 1 GUNPLAY.
If nothing else, it's really fun to shoot the guns.

A very good coop game with persistant character developpement. You have multiple classes playable in which you gain levels depend on specific actions per class (kill x stalkers, kill by explosives, weld doors...), those levels give you better stats and offer price reduction for your specific gear.
Even with a single friend you can wring many hours of fun out of this game, add more people and you'll play a loooong time.
