Do you feel ripped off by your telco/carrier?
150 Egyptian pounds for (supposdly) 8mbps with download speed of 700kbps. Yes, you better not complain about your internet.

No tv or phone service included but google voice + obi works nicely for free phone
Suddenlink (WV/US)
Thanks for giveaway!

Comcast - $80 for 150Mbps/15 Mbps plus (unused) basic cable and HBOGo. Not the worst but certainly not where it probably should be given that I live in place that should have more competition. I don't need Google Fiber, I just need them to say they're coming and then suddenly all the ISPs give price cuts and speed boosts to keep their customers. Honestly I probably switch even if the cost was similar just as a middle finger to Comcast for being so awful to their customers for so long.

I don't have internet access out here in the middle of nowhere, Ohio. That's why I don't know as much about connections as I would like. The closest thing to it I do have is my $25/month mobile phone plan, which gives me unlimited data, but slows me down after 200 mbs, which I inevitably burn through. Then again, I don't notice much difference in the slowdown due to weak signals out in the country.

About 17$ for 200Mbps, unlimited (downloads usually peak at 12MB) + TV + 3GB mobile internet 21Mbps, i can use more but the speed will be slower. They have 1Gbps plans for about 13$, but for that i'd need a brand new router and a more powerfull pc :)
You shouldn't be complaining much, if you also get handset upgrades every year, plus it's not that expensive for Singapore...

All this talk about net neutrality has got me thinking about how much a free market actually does to keep price competitive, especially with all the monopolies that telecommunication companies have all over the world.
I currently pay $40 USD a month for 200Mbps fibre internet, home line with free local calls and a "slightly" unreliable IPTV. And more for cable TV obviously. I could have 1 Gbps for the same price without IPTV but no switching mobile phones every year. So how much do you pay for your internet? I live in Singapore BTW and I feel so bad about complaining right now...
Actually I just want to give away a copy of Contrast but need a reason to open a thread. LVL 1 and above only though.
Edit: Over sorry.
P.S. Obligatory John Oliver video. That man's a genius.
