We had such a lovely time with the most recent community train - add a few games, he would add some more along with a few others....
But here's a couple of things I know cause I am getting old:
Every day above ground is a good day (I died a few years back and fortunately I was in the ICU so they brought me back pretty quickly). So no matter what is going on in your life, try to find at least one moment to be grateful.
Depression lies - please get help, go on meds, talk to people in your life and ask for help.
Lastly, please remember to be kind. You never know what someone else is dealing with in their life - especially on the internet. Your kind words could be all the difference someone needs.
For icaio, may your memory be for a blessing.

This really sucks if true. The GOAT of making accessible giveaways (low/no level reqs often). I've never been able to contribute a whole lot here (disabled without required work credits to get disability) but it has been a source of being able to play new games.
If you're still around I'm glad. If you're not then rest in peace you absolute kindhearted legend.

It was an honor to meet you and exchange a few messages, every time your positivity made my day. You were an inspiration. You were a legend. Eri mio amico. You were our friend. You won't be forgotten.
Rest in peace, icaio, and condolences to his family.

Sad news and such a terrible loss for the community. My condolences to his loved ones and wish them the strength and patience to deal with his passing.
It would be nice to have some sort of SG obituary page to remember members who's passed.

To be remembered as the great person he was. Rest in peace.

Hey all. I am going to start by saying that I do not have any more information than what I am sharing in this post.
EDIT: as it turns out, I do have some more information
As some of you know, icaio has not been on SG for a while, and he hasn't logged into his Steam profile either.
I posted on his Steam profile a few weeks ago, just a quick note saying I hoped he was okay.
Yesterday I received a friend request on Steam from someone I did not recognize. I didn't see any obvious red flags, so I accepted.
This new friend sent me a message today, saying that they were icaio's cousin, and they saw my post on his profile and wanted to let me know that icaio passed away on September 30.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that icaio was an absolute legend of Steamgifts. His generosity, sense of humor and thoughtfulness came through in every 'showerthinking' post and every 'trash' game giveaway and every time he helped to solve a derailment in the community train.
Before I visited Rome a few years ago, caio volunteered to give me his mobile number so I could ask him real-time questions while I was in Italy. And that's exactly what I did! So we didn't quite get a chance to actually meet in person, but it was fun to chat with him while we were in the same country.
Not much more to say right now. Just R.I.P. to icaio, he will always be a Steamgifts legend.
