if you're getting a dog it should be big enough to keep you safe. ballpak you'll want something able to kill a mountainlion but with the temperament that it would only do so if necessary. Get an irish wolfhound.
if they're too expensive to feed then an inuit beardog(not a husky. the little one they carry in baskets that runs on top of snow and tracks/latches onto bears).

If it isn't a Shiba Inu, I will be severly disappointed.

GO TO A DOG PARK FOR ADVISE, BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T LET YOUR DOG BITE YOU EVEN "PLAYFULLY" AS THIS WILL CAUSE MAJOR PROBLEMS WHEN IT IS OLDER AND HAS SHARP TEETH, AND STRONG JAWS

Going to get a new puppy. That states that either you previously had one which considered as old, or it means that you going to get an unused puppy from a store in its unopened original manufacturer's packaging and maybe x-Year(s) warranty is included.
I'm guessing it's not the first because if you previously owned one you most likely knew at least one of your mentioned "idk's", OR you did owned one but you never learned that "idk's" and it died.
Either way, find someone who owns a puppy and ask him your questions.
It's a lot harder to take care of it than you might think, at least it was for me...

Not recommended.
Some "human food" can be even toxic to dogs, cause alergies and other problems, even in small quantity.
You should only give dog food and dog treats, in adequate quantity per day.
Being a puppy is a very shot time in a life of a dog. Don't go get a puppy because you want a puppy. Get a puppy because you want a dog. Having a dog is not rocket science, first you have to be willing to have one, with that comes responsability and they like routine: proper care everyday (sleep, food, play/walk, health care). You will have a loyal companion for many years, and he will need you in the bad times if a health problem emerge and have more expenses, just like it happens with humans. It's not something you can abandon when you realize you don't want it anymore because of this or that, or "I didn't know". If you can't understand that then please don't get a dog. There are many adorable dogs missing an owner that could be adopted. Don't increase this population.
I suggest you get more information and talk to people that own dogs.

It depends on what you're eating. If you've got something like carrots and lean meat, a little bit won't hurt them. But there are quite a few things that're quite harmful to dogs. Sugar, chocolate, onions, and grapes are a handful of things that your pooch shouldn't have.
I'd recommend sticking to dog treats, unless you've done research on what human foods dogs can and cannot eat.
