we cannot just replace gasoline with electricity. then we just get and use a lot more iron and lithium for batteries windmills and solar panels
when will we run out of iron and lithium we are doomed mate everyone need to drop every thing and go live in the woods to survive this mess and good luck convinceing people to do that

I once read a Doom novel (Knee Deep in the Dead). And it was actually quite good. Nothing special. But good. I believe it was from an italian author (and it was really hard to find online).

On a possibly less Real True Fact note, I read that after releasing Doom and hitting it big, the senior staff at id grew tired of being pulled over for speeding by the police. So they started obeying the speed limit donated to the police department all new guns and a gun cabinet to hold them and stopped getting pulled over.
