Ju-on, shutter, and One missed call all sucked. Ringu was classic.
Comment has been collapsed.
agreed, i didn't like ju-on much so i haven't finsihed.
shutter could have been better, kind of boring at times
i just like the tune in one missed call, can't say i remember much about it
never saw ringu though, just knew about the existence of it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Not really. How do you define classic? An old movie, or a movie that was instantly one to remember. I think the latter.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ah. I remember the tune by heart. "Du du, du du (Ch ch.... ch ch) Du nu, nu nu"
It was a creepy as heck movie at times though, especially the scene where a baby has a phone.

Dont know any o them but shutter (the most recent) might be good to watch

yeah, the descent is not very good.. but grave encounters looks great, thanks :)

George Romero's the night of the living dead the original, black & white)? His first movie (I think) and the best zombie movie imo.
For the tittle you've mentioned I see you prefer slasher/gore/violence kind of horror over psichologycal. I don't know many of that kind but how about Carpenter's the The Thing? Awesome movie imo, but not sure if considered horror or just sci-fi.
The best psychological horror movie I can think of at the moment is 1408.
Comment has been collapsed.
1408 is really good :)...and the thing looks great (the new one.. i dont particulary love old horror movies :P)

another great ones which build up an awesome atmosphere are cube and cube zero. They complement each other greately. Again, not shure if considered horror or just psychological thriller. (these are 1 and 3, haven't seen hypercube, the 2, I just watched some scenes, but didn't liked it as it had nothing to do with the original one)
Comment has been collapsed.
i really really wanted to see these movies :D.. thanks again , you just remind me the title :)

And if you like Cube, try "The Killing Room". More psychological thriller than "horror" but then so was Cube imho. Chloe Sevigny, Peter Stormare, Clea Duvall and Shea Wigham.

Ginger Snaps and Ginger Snaps: Unleashed
On of the best horror movies I have ever seen.

After i see quarantine, it was a must for me.. have to watch it soon :P.. the 3 looks strange

you gotta watch REC asap.

the exorcist is my fav .. followed by 28 days later and orig Night of the living dead.
Comment has been collapsed.
Saw exorcirst, not that great.. 28 days later looks really good, and dont really like movie like night of the living dead, thanks
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, have it on computer.. wanna watch the 4 before.. but the 3 first were awesome :(

Martyrs. The movies you like and all the ones listed above me are pretty tame compared to this film. You've been warned.
Comment has been collapsed.
horror movie? xD.. searched on imdb and its a drama :P

If you like horror, I'm assuming you've seen The Ring... but if not CHECK THAT SHIT OUT. The Grudge is probably one of the scarier movies I've seen, so I'd definitely recommend that as well (talking about the american version). Hmm what else... I know there are loads of others I could recommend but I'm blanking atm.
How was Dead Silence? I remember watching the preview awhile back and even that scared me XD. Never got around to watching it.
Comment has been collapsed.
First, i did'nt saw the ring (i saw the second on tv and it sucks xD) but really wanted to see it, will download soon.. same thing for the grudge that i was thinking that i bought but no :(....
Dead silence is really awesome in my opinion.. its not really really scary but its well done and it was a great movie overall :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Will pass soon at tv i think, wanted to see it also

Silent Hill, not rlly scary but it's good, kinda.
Comment has been collapsed.
It was'nt great at all.. really boring in my opinion and not scary at all x)

Kelly Clarkson in a movie? :O...thats looks shit.. and since its number 18 of the bottom 100, ill pass on that i guess :)

"Old" films be damned (they're classics!), the 1978 version of Halloween still holds up today, just massive amounts of escalating tension.
For something more modern you could always try Eden Lake. It's pretty grim.
Comment has been collapsed.
eden lake is one of the movie i want to see the most :P. just waiting for it to pass on tv in less than 1 month :O.. But that looks really awesome
Comment has been collapsed.
I know the version on Netflix is cut so I wouldn't be surprised if it was edited further for TV. I'd recommend purchasing/downloading a DVD copy if you can.

Dead Silence, Insidious, Sinister, Prince of the darkness, Shatter, Possession
Comment has been collapsed.
dead silence is good.. insidious is not that good.. sinister looks great, prince of darkness and possession are not my kind of movie... might give a try to shatter
Comment has been collapsed.
Dead Silence is bad, but it has one great thing - the ending twist. Now i wasn't expecting that, AT ALL.

-30 Days of Night (its straight to DVD sequel is alright, I wouldn't recommend it super highly but my cousin worked on it, its worth seeing if you like 1). Vampires
-A L'Interieur (Inside) - French subtitled but a real great flick. Psychopathic Bitch
-Amityville Horror (remake). Possession/Demons
-Child's Play series (there are some weak entries but they are all pretty enjoyable if you like one. Killer Dolls (lol)
-Candyman (1 is good, 2 is okay if you like 1, 3 is avoid at all costs). Supernatural/Immortal killer with a hook for a hand
-Cursed. Werewolves
-Dawn of the Dead (original by Romero is superior to the remake, but Zac Snyder of 300/Watchmen/Man of Steel) directed the remake, first movie he did. Zombies
-Day of the Dead (again, the original). Zombies
-Dead Alive sometimes known as 'Braindead' (perhaps the goriest film of all time, directed by Lord of the Rings Peter Jackson). Zombies
-Drag Me to Hell (not gory, but phenomenal). Supernatural/Curses
-Evil Dead 1, 2, and 3 (Army of Darkness) oldies but amazing. Part 1 is like 80 % horror 20 % comedy, 2 is 50/50, and 3 is like 95 % comedy but its fucking hilarious. Supernatural/Survival
-Fallen, not gory nor really horror but its Denzel Washington (and we all know he has yet to make a bad movie) and its a really awesome premise. Possession/Demons
-Friday the 13th remake (not oscar gold but 1000 % better than part 1-10 (though Jason X is probably the best comedy of its time) and better than Freddy Vs Jason. Unkillable Maniac
-Hannibal Lector movies, not true horror but they are damn good. They are filmed out of order, if interested, order is Hannibal Rising (weakest entry) Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal. Ridiculously intelligent cannibal
-Hellraiser 1-4 (worth seeing purely for every single thing Pinhead says, his lines are truly horrific and evil. Avoid 5 and on, straight to video tripe). Demons
-Haute (High) Tension sometimes known as Switchblade Romance. Serial Killer
-Ils (Them) - french horror movie, subtitled IIRC but really fantastic. Strangers is kind of a remake of it. Serial Killers
-Land of the Dead (not good as Dawn or Day but it gets a lot of shit pretty undeservedly, it cost peanuts to make and has fucking fantastic SFX and sets and a decent cast). Zombies
-Last House on the Left (remake if you want gore and ick, original if you want to see the single most disturbing movie of its time). Serial Killers
-Mirrors. Supernatural Killer
-Nightmare on Elm Street 1, 3, and 7 (Wes Craven's New Nightmare) avoid the remake except if you want to see an amazing Freddy Krueger (he's truly heinous looking compared to the original series, but the movie's a real fucking turd). Supernatural Killer
-Piranha. Self Explanatory? =P
-Planet Terror. Zombies
-Se7en (thriller not horror but its a must see). Serial Killer
-The Thing (John Carpenter's, starring Kurt Russell) older movie but its SFX really hold up and theres some cool shit in it. Monsters that replicate humans (and dogs)
-Underworld 1 & 2. Avoid 3, 4 is decent if not devoid of plot. Horror-action. Vampires/Werewolves
-Wolfman ...
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh +1 for Silence of the Lambs, definitely.
I thought the majority of Switchblade Romance was pretty darn good (surprisingly so) but the ending was ridiculous. Film should have ended about five minutes earlier than it did.

Just saw Ils.. really great movie.... also saw all underworld (4 is really too short and strange), piranha 1 is really good but the 2 sucks xD..., bought mirrors so i will watch it soon, last house on the left is excellent, friwday the 13th remake is great...
Haute tension looks great :)... will watch hannibal soon
thanks for all this list :)
Thanks for all this great list, will try to see some of them (se7

Duuuuude wasn't that banned? For all the gore in it? :S

I'm not a huge horror fan, but I love some of the horror/comedies.
Slither (closest to full horror, with plenty of gore and a wicked sense of humor. Really good writing, hilarious characters)
Tucker and Dale vs Evil (Funny trope reversal, you have to see this. Also, has Alan Tudyk [Wash, from Firefly/Serenity]
Scream (You already mentioned this, but I'm just agreeing. :D)
Evil Dead (Also already mentioned above)
I feel like there's more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Slither and Tucker and Dale vs Evil are both great, though, if you're into that sort of thing.
Comment has been collapsed.
scream are all goods..
evil dead is too old for me :P
Will try to see slither if it pass on tv :P.. does'nt want to download that, does'nt look that good
tucker and dal might be great..thanks :)

Someone has some horror movies to recommend me to watch soon?
(I prefer to watch good movies so please don't write shitty movies xD)
I particulary like movies like saw, vacant, the strangers, Scream, the cabin in the wood, the last house on the left, Dead silence, final destination, Hills have eyes, the crazies, etc...
EDIT: Someone has a site to download movies which the download is really fast? (less than 30 min :P)
