So your bitching because you got a recommendation and don't like the idea of the genre. That's all fine apart from the bitching and to tell others to play a "good game" maybe RPG's are good to some people. Lets first address the bitching, complaining about a genre is not going to get you anyway, you should of simply said not to send you recommendations that are RPG's instead you are saying bad stuff about RPG's and now you will need to prepare to be a target for people who love RPG's. Now lets address the "good game" part RPG's may not be a good game to you but why you telling people to play a good game instead maybe it is a good game to another person. Personally I don't like Rocket League should I make a discussion saying fuck Rocket League and name everything bad then say play a good game instead then i'll name a game I like. From what i've seen of you replying is that one single RPG was recommended which was final fantasy and your complaining about all RPG's because of one single game. There are a multitude of RPG's that may tickle your fancy such as The Witcher, Terraria, Dark Souls, Payday. Skyrim, Borderlands. I could go on but I think you would get the idea. As for the grind and the games being long, people like to work for what they get they don't want things handed to them on a silver plate they want to have a challenge and for completing the challenge they get better stuff like equipment and upgrades and the games are long because it keeps people entertained. I play ArcheAge and yes the grind is real but I have enjoyed it. Most the games that I have played for lots of hours are RPG's there are a few games like CS:GO as well that I have played quite a bit as well. Also from looking at your steam you have several RPG's where you have spent quite a bit of time on.

Well you have just named a few which I named previously so it shows that you do play some but also terraria and before you say its multiplayer yes but its also singleplayer, there is also Bastion, there is also Undertale and also Nuclear Throne all these you have 100+ hours on.

A RPG doesn't require having skill lists. All these games are classified as RPG's either by devs or players. Its like GTA can be classed as a RPG if you play it a certain way. From a simple search you can find that "A role-playing game (RPG) is a game in which players assume the roles of characters in a fictional setting. Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within a narrative, either through literal acting, or through a process of structured decision-making or character development." As you can see it doesn't specifically say it must have skill trees, stats, upgrades.

I can't remember exactly but it must have been in some US show. I remember hearing it on at least 2 seperate occasions and on one of them somebody pointed out that's not how you say it but the other time they didn't so the writer must have conceived it to be correct.
