I love RPGs but I usually play games in 1-2 hour intervals and it puts me off playing games I have to invest 10+ hours into. There are great RPG games that I finished in less than 5 hours though.

I read like half of that now-deleted article before I couldn't take it anymore. It's a pity that it started as an interesting insight on the origins of JRPG mechanics, but quickly devolved into a retarded "lol those gooks can't make videogames, or anything for that matter" rant.

I suggest you not play RPGs in that case, and play something else instead. Rocket League is pretty good.

If you've been owned by an RPG and now don't like the style anymore then get some skills, some grey cells and FFS just stop telling us we shouldn't play RPG. Some people ( like me ) do enjoy it and if you can't then it's cool for you. Let me tell ya something, I don't give a single piece of poop about what you think of RPGs, and if I can give some advice... Well, guess what ? I love pure die & retry games, hardcore games where a single error kill you and with training I simply own the games.
The real thing that piss me off right now is that you spit on a specific kind of game while you could just move on and return to Rocket League or any other boring game ( because yeah, why not, let's say fuck RL too ).
I'm not going to feed you anymore because you don't seem to know a single thing about RPGs but dude, really, stop raging for nothing.

I like JRPG and all type of RPG. As long as the background story a good one. (Well rocket league a good one but i have to use controller to play the game since the last one i buy is broken.)
