The re-release of FF7 was garbage, and I don't doubt the same will be true for the re-release of FF8.
Better get the original PC versions, or just emulate the Playstation versions.

i tried to go back and play 7 a while back... the graphics are so much worse than you remember(the fmv sequences are alright)
wasnt there a planned reboot or something?

I have played both games dozens of times on Playstation but I'd love to add both of them to my Steam collection. The Steamdatabse recently updated both of these games, so they should be coming soon.

Both games should be getting Steam achievements, which would definitley make me want to play them through again, if not just for the nostalgia.
