Are you excited for DC Rebirth?
They are not bringing back the Legion of Super-Heroes, no buy. A very sad day for a LoSH fans. My greatest memory was the Great Darkness Saga, too many spoilers for non-LoSH fans.

Thanks for not spoiling it :)
I'm not familiar with LoSH, so I'll have to check into that. Thanks for the tip! :D

Well, there is a Legion flight ring in Rebirth #1...
Comment has been collapsed.
Could be Booster Gold or Superman with the ring, but I have not read Rebirth just yet. I just want a new full title with Legion, not another side story in Action Comics/Superman like they did during the silver age.

It's a girl who has the ring, so neither of them :)

I forgot Supergirl and XS (Bart Allen's cousin) was on the team as well. But I need to read Rebirth first before raging. Now if they want a real rebirth, they need to fire both Dan DiDio and Jim Lee.

Just read today both Justice League#50 and Rebirth One Shot today.
Geoff's writing is pretty solid, though there are some aspects of the story I don't necessarily agree with
Doctor Manhattan and the 3 Jokers for example . But for the most part both issues were great and the art is top notch...unlike what Marvel is pushing out lately.
As for the upcoming comics I'm excited for Green Arrow Rebirth#1 since they are bringing Black Canary & Oliver back together.
Anyways merging the Watchmen universe with the current DC universe is bold freaking move!

Actually, Watchmen never was part of the DCU. That was part of the initial pitch, where the plan was to use the Charlston Comics characters which DC acquired: The Question instead of Rorschach, Captain Atom instead of Dr. Manhattan, Peacemaker instead of The Comedian, Blue Beetle instead of Night Owl, and more.
But that got rejected in favor of Watchmen being it's own distinct universe, as at the time DC were worried that it would leave too many characters that they wanted to pull into the main DCU dead and unusable. (As if popular characters actually stay dead in comic books...)
Trying to merge those universes together now might well turn out to be the shitstorm that makes people hate this reboot. (So they'll undo it again 3-5 years from now.)

Green Arrow and Black Canary had a really nice dynamic in the Pre new-52.
I'm not a big fan of the Fall of the Green Arrow/Cry For Justice story arc and how it affected both of them, so yea I'm pumped for GA Rebirth.
As for CW's Arrow I found it unwatchable after 2 seasons.

They are? I may have to get Green Arrow again. I did not like New 52 Green Arrow at all, and I actually stopped getting it after about 20 issues or so. It just didn't "feel" like Green Arrow to me.

Haha, I've not read any of their properties yet. Any suggestions?

If you get Fables, get them via TPB. The series is ending at #150 (up to 149 has been released), but who knows when he is actually going to get it done? It's been several months since the release of #149...
Also, get the The Sandman TPBs that Neil Gaimen wrote. Those are classic!

Probably the best way to go with a series that's been running that long at this point. Thanks very much for the suggestion.

The reboot of Green Lantern that brought Hal Jordan back from the dead. Geoff Johns was a great writer for it. I collected it from Green Lantern: Rebirth (as well as the various off-shoots such as GL Corps), but I stopped about last August or so. It just wasn't the same, although I still collect Sinestro and wish that Red Lanterns was still a comic series (loved Guy as a Reddie).
Here is a bump even though I cannot enter due to lack of points.:)
I have Rebirth set aside for me (one of the perks of having a good friend that owns a comic store). I mainly collect the Bat-titles from DC (Catwoman, the various Harley comics, Batgirl, Detective Comics, Batman). I hope the rebirth doesn't change it for the worse!

Cross your fingers shadowshiv. I'm going to be diving in as soon as I catch up on all these comments. I've been too busy with work and family stuff the past few days to really get into it quite yet.

Rebirth #1 was so great! It's probably my new favorite DC memory ;) I'm so excited for the new series to start! Although I'm still unsure about the new Green Lantern series, despite them being my favorite part of the DC universe. We'll see.
My favorite memory of DC might be watching the Green Lantern Animated series. It only got one season, but it was amazing.

Oooo I never caught that show.
Is this the one you were referring to?

I know I posted way too much in this topic, but had to share this article because it's pretty interesting and makes you look at the book differently.
Link in spoiler tag in case someone haven't read Rebirth#1 yet.

Noooooooooooooooooooo worries about posting too much here. More info is better as far as I'm concerned.
Thanks for the link and covering it up for the moment. I'm hoping to get to read Rebirth after work today.

It's not a stupid question by any means. I don't really know what their release plan is, though I'd have to think that this was a oneshot issue designed to restart everything. I'd expect all their other regular series will jump off from this book (and that they won't do an ongoing series called "Rebirth"), so pick whichever character you happen to like and maybe pick up their ongoing series that starts after this book.

Very nice. Did you get a chance to read Justice League 50, Superman 52, or Rebirth yet?

So today is the day :D
Today is DC Rebirth Day :D
If you don't know what that means: here
It should be pretty fun and I'm definitely going to pick up a copy of the Rebirth book (I think it's just $3 anyway), so NO SPOILERS PLEASE!
I've only relatively recently been able to indulge my lifelong repressed interest in comics and I have a few favorite ongoing series/IPs, but regardless of which book/series/world/characters you like best, there's no getting around that today is DC's day.
What's your favorite memory of DC lore be it comics, books, movies, cartoons, shows, action figures you totally didn't mean to swallow because I mean COME OOOOOON I was 5 and it came in my happy meal, or fan content?
I think mine has to be Batman the Animated Series or the old Adam West Batman show that I'd spend ALL of my time at Grandma's house watching because we never had cable. The animated series was pretty enthralling when I was watching it in grade school and probably part of why I enjoy dark and scary TV/movies now. I recently went back and started watching them again now and they STILL hold up well (unlike my memories of the X-Men cartoon from the same era, sadly...that thing...that thing is hilariously bad...soooooo bad). Speaking of Batman...:D.
