I do not have faves in which I'm invested so much that I'd actually follow creators so much that I'd know if they've done something bad.
But as hypothetical situation goes:
I could still enjoy it, I'm not the kind of person who would constantly think about how bad creator is to the point it would ruin experience for me. But I could think about boycotting them in two very nebulous scenarios:

1. creator's shitty behaviour influences the art in a bad way.
2. the money they'll get from sales will be used to promote things I'm against.

Other than that I don't think I'd take any measures except maybe downprioritizing the art they produce in my wishlist if they are really obnoxious in my eyes. Besides, if we'd boycott everytime creators say/did something objectonable, we couldn't enjoy anything at all. If you dig deep enough you can find dirt on anyone.

Though I feel sad when I find out about my favourite musicians being junkies, drugs are bad, m'kay? Or art in general, really. Like "hey, sweet painting/song/whatevs" "yeaah, duuude, I wrote it while being on acid, and not sleeping for 5 days, then I vomited and don't remember much of the week." Ah. Okay. Good for you. I guess.

Artists should be shy, sad, depressed and misundrestood, not drug abusers, dammit! >:(

Gary Glitter is a twice-convicted child-rapist who will hopefully rot in prison. Of course his song "Rock & Roll pt 1" plays every weekend (and some Mondays and Thursdays). Mostly because Glitter was barely a one-hit wonder on this side of the pond but it's an easy song to cheer along with.

For me the ideal world would be that I don't know a thing about their private life unless it is really fucked up. So, they can keep their beliefs and thoughts to themselves... I wouldn't miss them.

Honestly there's an extent I actually hope to not learn bad shit about people I watch for entertainment. I mean I wouldn't dare support a shithead. But learning someone whom I watch is a racist or dickhead. Would honestly really spoil their content for me. So I usually hope to not learn stuff about people I watch cause it would just spoil their content for me and it's like "yeah. Well. This video's funny I guess. The person who made it's a fucking prick/dimwit/ignorant fuck. Of course i'd want to know the bad stuff. Cause I don't want to support a mega asshole.

I don't know, i'd probably stop watching them at some point once I learn some bad things like being a racist. With things like that, as opposed to the worse like they beat their children or something else in which i'd immediately stop viewing the content. I'd eventually just start to fall off on viewership and stop watching their content altogether in a few months time at best. This happens when I learn some youtubers I watch are dicks.

I don't really care. From my nihilistic inclination (or egoism maybe?) as long as I can draw enjoyment from something I'll try to do it, usually with the aid of rational "cold" thinking, I can mentally separate most things from their societal meaning and leave the parts that serve me for the time being.

A comment was made earlier about a good author that I like - Orson Scott Card. When I learn, some time ago, that he's a bigoted, gay bashing, religious zealot I was kind of disappointed because I don't like stupidity. I can get and even accept hate, but not when it comes from ignorance and a lack of individual thought. But does it mean the books I've read of his are now bad somehow? Doesn't really make sense to go back to my own experience and change them. That will actually be lying to myself - when I read Ender's Game I was in awe, that's a fact, and nothing will change that (except brain injury maybe).

In a shorter answer - talent and character aren't married. When you enjoy the product of someone's talent that's all you enjoyed. You certainly didn't enjoy their character since 99.99% of the time you didn't know the person in real life anyway, and his/her "badness" didn't affect you in any shape.

Youtube...yes, most shows are dependent of someone's personality, there is also interaction with fans.
Games, Movies and music are an art form for me, and therefore i care only about their work.

I wouldn't say "support " them, but I wouldn't stop watching movies because of a certain actor or stop playing games because of one of the developers. Even if I didn't support than individual and what they stood for, I don't think it would really disturb my opinion of the product itself. Plus, they're just one bad apple, that doesn't mean it spoils the whole bunch.

I'm not a hardcore gamer so I only know a little about who makes some games or etc, and I will answer about the music because I think it will be the same, in fact in my experience, I would still enjoy about their creations as long as their work is still nice to be heard, Because until now I still listen to black metal music and many people claim about the genre is about darkness, atheism, or etc but no one of them or of their songs have an impact on my life, I still have my religion and do not follow them. So you I think it all depends on your thinking about how you can accept it or not, because we are all free to accept or not accept a thing

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions. If I enjoy content that someone produces, that is all that matters to me, I don't care about what they think or do as long as they keep it out of the content that they produce. There are tons of famous actors that I really enjoy watching, but I disagree with their politics, this does not mean that I am going to stop enjoying their movies.

A great example of this is Phil Fish. A lot of people got all butt hurt over his attitude and some stuff he said. I heard about this and completely blew it off. I don't think I even bothered to read about what happened for over a year because I really didn't care. I don't have to like him, but I like the content he produced. I played Fez and it was one of the best games I every played, I can care less what he says or does in his personal life because I enjoyed the game and that's all that matters. I may not like him or agree with him, but he's not my personal friend so it doesn't matter. I would fully support him if he made another game and I really hope he does because he is very talented.

Depends if their ideology or vitriol can be found in their work when re-examining it.
