Seriously, I think we need to make the rules and how the site works more apparent. ie a conformation email with them in it, you have to read them like a TOS before you can register, and/or they pop up before your first giveaway.

It's simple: just make a rule that obliges every new comer to put a meaningful description in their first giveaway, if a new user registers and creates their first giveaway with no description (even legit), then it will have to be deleted. A script should do the trick.

I don't see much potential with such rules

Yeah, its hard to hit the button twice after filling in all the info, and call it an "accident." We all know they are abusing the system, but with no mods around there is no reason for them to stop.

"Accidental" Giveaways, they can claim they are accidental all day long, but that is like saying you tripped and fell on that girl your girlfriend caught you sleeping with. We all know the truth their scamming for contributor value and points.

I think the best solution would be to have a "Cancel Giveaway" link. This link would only be active for the first 30 minutes and only visible to the creator. After that, the sellers obligated per rules to deliver game in 1 week or face "Not Received". If the creator didn't confirm his giveaway within that 30 minute period... too bad.

The reason the link wouldn't remain up the whole time is to prevent the giveaway creator from changing his/her mind and pulling the listing because a trade came along etc.
