Have you tried playing a multi player game online? I think it's easier to connect with people you have common ground with instead of just some random user (not saying there are not some fine individuals to be found around here). Join a forum or anything where you can meet people who share your interests and you'll at least have a starting point and more importantly something to talk about, maybe even sth you can do together.

If you can go out, search there as well. If you cannot for whatever reason or if the life outside just doesn't interest you right now, that's OK for now, too. Good luck!

You can find decent people online to make some friends, and s.gifts is definitely not a bad place to search. However, I'd still advise you to keep in touch with real people, if possible. :) Good luck with getting over your problem(s).
