I'm a vegetarian for umm 7.5 years, stopped drinking/eating milk a while ago (rice milk <3) and also stopped eating eggs recently (as in cooked, fryed eggs).
I still eat products that contain both but I feel like this year is gonna be the year I turn completely vegan.
Also, I'm not taking any supplements and I'm not gonna argue whether or not we need B12 or not. My blood samples have been excellent every time it was tested since I'm a veg, so there you go.

I'm vegan. No funny jokes to accompany, just that. Been a vegan two years, now?

It's weird how much anger people have toward vegans. If someone asks me about it, I tell them. If they want to argue with me about it, I'll argue. But unless I'm in some situation that calls for me to make people aware of dietary restrictions or whatever, it only seems to come up when someone wants to make fun of my philosophy. Ha ha, bacon, yeah, I get it.

I've never understood the bacon thing. Even when I used to eat flesh, I didn't think bacon was that great. But I think I always thought anything fleshy was sort of gross. I should give this a try, though. My girlfriend is trying to ween me off the garbage I eat and into more natural, vegetable rich meals. I'm less a vegan and more a flesh-abstainer. I'm a shitty vegan when it comes to nutrition. But I guess I'm not in it for dietary reasons.

Yeah, I gotta agree with that. I thought it only happened here in Chile, when everything goes around food. For some reason, some people believe they have the moral right to criticize me becuase not eating cadavers, but they can go drinking coke and eating all other sorts of processed-fast food, thinking it's okay.

3 Stop excusing yourself(i only eat this and that this and that times or something similair) like i said earlier, i dont care what you do eat, only made this thread to find people with the same ethic and morals as me!
4 I blacklisted 0 people because of this thread, why? cause i respect everyone, just sad that it isnt aways returned xD

Save some animals, eat a vegetarian.

I eat vegetarian most of the time, for environmental reasons and ethical reasons (i.e., our shameful treatment of animals).

I might not feel bad about eating animals if, in fact, they were humanely raised -- although I often think about this bit from "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera:

There's no particular merit in being nice to one's fellow man. She had to treat the other villagers decently, because otherwise she couldn't live there. Even with Tomas, she was obliged to behave lovingly because she needed him. We can never establish with certainty what part of our relations with others is the result of our emotions—love, antipathy, charity, or malice— and what part is predetermined by the constant power play among individuals.
True human goodness, in all its purity and freedom, can come to the fore only when its recipient has no power. Mankind's true moral test, its fundamental test (which lies deeply buried from view), consists of its attitude towards those who are at its mercy: animals. And in this respect mankind has suffered a fundamental debacle, a debacle so fundamental that all others stem from it.

And:

The very beginning of Genesis tells us that God created man in order to give him dominion over fish and fowl and all creatures. Of course, Genesis was written by a man, not a horse. There is no certainty that God actually did grant man dominion over other creatures. What seems more likely, in fact, is that man invented God to sanctify the dominion that he had usurped for himself over the cow and the horse. Yes, the right to kill a deer or a cow is the only thing all of mankind can agree upon, even during the bloodiest of wars.
The reason we take that right for granted is that we stand at the top of the hierarchy. But let a third party enter the game—a visitor from another planet, for example, someone to whom God says, Thou shalt have dominion over creatures of all other stars —and all at once taking Genesis for granted becomes problematical. Perhaps a man hitched to the cart of a Martian or roasted on the spit by inhabitants of the Milky Way will recall the veal cutlet he used to slice on his dinner plate and apologize (belatedly!) to the cow.

Hey, ChallengerM! I went vegetarian for a while before going vegan and it was like that only and just only because of cheese -like most vegetarians-. After going vegan I learned how to make vegan cheese and I don't miss dairy cheese at all. Honestly, if you like cooking I can recommend you some really good recipe books if you are up to it, since everything you can imagine can be done vegan!

Hugs and spread the love! <3

thanks ,man, I'd really appreciate the recipes! The thing is that I don't always have the ingredients at home, so have to make do with whatever there is, so dairy products sometimes need to come to the plate. thx for the reply :)

I would recommend to you Thug Kitchen recipe books and The homemade vegan pantry, this last one made by Miyoko Schinner. Worth to mention are Vegan Indian Cooking by Anupy Singla and Vegan Tacos by Jason Wyrick. I personally don't recommend Veganomicon, I found their recipes not as good or updated as other cookbooks, yet it's true that probably back in the day was a really cool one.

I would recommend you internet webpages with vegan recipes, but there are quite a lot and I don't follow any specifically. Sometimes I watch videos of The Vegan Zombie and Vegan Black Metal Chef on Youtube.

Cheers!
